I dropped the wii u, it stopped reading discs

I clogged my toilet... Waited 5 minutes then shat backwards. Then bam it worked again. Toilet bowls are fragile as fuck!

What do your parents think? Guessing they paid for it as it seems you're a kid/teen?
You could try no dropping things of value as a game.
Glad it worked though there's a lesson to learn (don't drop things)

no...and no. first console i bought with my own money actually
but yeah, it's my mistake i blame off tv play, I like to move the wii u a lot since the gamepad signal is pretty weak in my house.

no I was planning on having a mod close the thread but then again, they can't delete off the internet, so it will always be here for those haters to use it against me, so no point in even closing it ._.

It's not like you did anything bad. I used to tilt my ps1 to get it to read discs, McGuyver giveth and McGuyver taketh away. Avoid breaking things to begin with is all. Electronics can break randomly without you worstening the situation so look after things.

After I bought my new place last year I accidently scratched my car while reversing into the garage (small garage, large car, I usually park outside). Obviously I didn't want those scratches so turned that sucker right around, went in head-first & Robert's your father's brother; scratch-free!

Quick! Let the thread drop so it goes back to being irrelevant again!

LTTP:

I blame your butter fingers

You're crouched... were you holding the console with one hand like a pizza?

How did you drop it when your center of gravity was so low.

:p

I once had a PS1 with a dying laser disc that only worked upside down. Then the same thing happened with my PS2. That trick didn't work with PS3 though.

Nintendo needs a officially make a portable version of the Wii U for the OP so he doesn't have to keep moving the console around and dropping it.

He's looking like:

That was a real ad?
My god, that took more effort than I would've liked with the "U WILL" structure.

Reminds me of the time my brother put a snapped in-half Pikmin disc into the Gamecube tray and it read way back then. How it snapped? He couldn't get it out of the tray and accidentally pulled too hard. Just put it back in, positioned it, turned it on and bam, worked. Only that once though.

On topic, that's both hilarious and completely not what you would expect.

I totaled my car once. Was really scared that it would be ruined so I retraced my steps five minutes later and drove into the wall again at the Sam espeed but in reverse and now it's fine.

These cars are fragile as fuck!

I'm glad everything worked out for you and op. I think this might be some kind of ancient repairing technique utilized by the ancients.

Nothing is wrong with it, looks fine so I plug it back in, and put in assassins creed 4 and the thing won't read the disc. I was playing it earlier this morning too, the disc is also perfectly clean.

Wait, what? You bought Assassins' Creed 4?

Someone didn't get Ubisoft's memo...
