You won't be seeing 50 year old business men walking out like this, but it's socially accepted for the younger guys around i.e. teens. Like I said, I'm not trying to make it sound like EVERY single Asian guy has this kind of a hairstyle over there, but this kind of a hairstyle is considered attractive. It does give out a bad impression among the more traditional people. For the record, I do dyne my hair, but in copper, which is not very obvious and I comb my down when i'm working, spike my hair a little when i'm out with friends.

Hi everyone. I just woke up and noticed a lot of pages. I sincerely thank the people who are supportive, but on the other hand I'd like to share that none of you have to worry that I'm affected by negative comments. So you don't have to balance it up or anything. I posted this thread because I was excited about my own hair and I knew GAF could have some fun with it: whether it's interest, information or just plain mocking. Unfortunately the latter being the most popular, but I was prepared for it.
Some people need to understand that this isn't a fluke action. So it's not like I didn't know what I'm getting into. I'm standing proud. In a way it's also a battle of shallowness in life. You could say I'm shallow for putting so much attention into my hair (for a guy), but I think I could be shallow if I cared what people think about the amount of time I'm supposed to spend on my hair. And if people define me only by my hair (already calling me an asshole here in this thread), aren't they the ones being superficial? But in the end none of it is really that complicated. It's just hair and it's just a fun thing I wanted to do. It's really not a drastic life changer (also the reason why I still dress normally to not overdo it).
Anyway, I seriously can't name all the names of people who complimented me but I thought that was very nice and supportive of you to do so. Truly appreciated.

I got through the tough part, now it's just using 1 conditioner to maintain it. Silver shampoo twice a week (which I have to leave in for 5 minutes). I guess the 5 minutes just standing there in the shower is kind of annoying, but fortunately that's the most troublesome part of maintenance.sturmdogg said:
