I saw Molly Shannon at Chelsea Market (New York City; Emeril Live is filmed there) today. It was weird. I didn't say anything to her, but a gay Asian guy with weird glasses did (Dear Asian Guy: if you're not gay, forgive me; I'm Asian too! Just not gay). She had a baby in a stroller with her, and was accompanied by a woman.

I've never had a random celebrity encounter before. Have any of you?

I met Ashanti and Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne when I was on TRL this past week. :)

As for random? Hmmm....I'm probably forgetting a memorable moment (the irony!), but I ran into Ghostface Killah (from the Wu-Tang Clan) at the airport once.

BTW, you should have asked her to say, "Super star!" :p

Random on the street encounters: Dan Marino, Demi Moore, that young Pepsi girl, Chris Webber, Greg Proops, maybe some others.

I partied with Paul Dwight (WWE's Big Show) on the back of a boat one time. (When he stepped aboard this 30 ft boat, the whole thing lurched to one side)

I use to manage a small computer shop in Santa Monica years back, and Antonio Banderas came in to use the bathroom because the bathroom upstairs at the movie production company got clogged or something. The dude barely came up to my chin, and I'm only 5'9"! :lol

I saw Alec Baldwin at my family reunion when I was about 17. I was a little confused as to why he was there, and I pointed him out to my mother. I thought he might have been speaking or something, but it turns out that I'm related to him through marriage on my fathers side. Now talk about fuckin random.

Met the only guy worth meeting

And to answer your question, was he as bad ass in person as he is on tv? And the answer is, did you ever see someone beat the shit out of an 80 year old lady and then eat her taco while threatening anyone thinking of calling paramedics? So I'd have to say and then some my friend, and then some.

All Hail C-Webb

Hailing from the Chill-Web
Elijah Wood in Union Square
Whoopee Goldberg in the Village
Kim Basinger on a plane
Steven Speilberg on the set of Jurrasic Park 2 (not a random thing though)

- Green Day at the Halifax Airport on the way to boot camp..
- Grant Fuhr on a golf course. Actually, we got yelled at for running in front of one of his drives on the way to school.
- All the cast from the old 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes'.
- My brother bumped into Tele Savalas' gut while in Disney Land..

Not so random..
I was in an Adam Ant music video on a roller coaster over in England.

These players i'd run into a lot of times when I lived in Red Deer:
Derek Morris
Chris Phillips
Bill Ranford
Jesse Wallin

Met Greg Nori of Treble Charger, Theo from GOB a couple of times, same with Craig who used to be with GOB, but now in Avril Lavigne's band.

Met Julliette Lewis on a movie set here in calgary.

Bret Hart came into my old work place a couple of years back and bought a Tom Petty CD.

That's about it.

HRmmm...

Anthrax, nice bunch of guys.

I was an extra in the movie School Ties, (look for the skinny redhead student) so I met everyone in that, it was a good time.

I had a makeout session with Eliza Dushku. Well, not an all-out one. We danced and a shared a kiss at this club a few years ago.

Soybean: you ever eaten at "Unbagelievable" or "Ruthy's Cheesecake"?
Nope! I don't visit NYC nearly as much as I'd like to. This was my first venture in Chelsea (if those are Chelsea places you're talking about).

Corey Feldman, David Justice, Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth, Norm McDonald, the Steiner Brothers, Chris Benoit, Batista, Randy Orton, LL Cool J, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Case, Ron Jeremy, Michael Stipe, Jimmy Carter, Andy Richter, James Carville. I think that's it.

Totally random?

Didn't really "meet" them but Harvey Pekar ("American Splendor") and Dan Lauria (the father from The Wonder Years) came to the theater I managed in Cleveland in the short amount of time I was there. No, they weren't together.

I've met a lot of interesting people though. Bill Clinton, Ace Frehley and Eric Singer from KISS, Aidan Quinn, Gary Numan, Mako (Japanese actor who does a lot of film and videogame work. Hell of a nice guy), Patricia Neil, and a bunch of directors/producers who attended events at theaters I worked for. (Can't remember them all.)

Whos that? Steve Kerr?

Exactly what I thought as well. :lol

I don't recall ever meeting anyone just randomly.. I was at a Conan taping and the guests were David Arquette who was definitely on something (more than usual, for him) and Gina Gershon (I know that spelling's wrong). And Conan/Max Weinberg/etc. of course.
Also at a few WWF (back when that's what they were called) events back in the day. Right when the Rock came in.. although he wasn't the Rock at the time, but I did slap his hand as he went by!

So that's the closest thing I've ever had to actually seeing/meeting celebrities in person.

And well.. I didn't actually "see" him, so I don't know if this counts, but me and my brother (and a big crowd) saw Bill Clinton's limo drive by in Philly the one time (when he was still Pres.), and he waved out at the crowd from the window.

I saw her there a few months ago too. With baby in stroller and a white guy.

Later that same day Sandra Bernhard complimented our dogs we were walking on 8th Avenue.

None for me until I once ran into 3 celebs in the span of 30 min at Mandalay Bay in Vegas:

Joe Roggan on my elevator (damn, hes short).
Carson Daily in the casino
William Petersen (CSI) in the sports book bar.

I've run into Scottie Pippen, Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Walter Payton (awesome guy miss him a lot), Jerry Springer, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, and a couple others. Oh and I ran into Brad from Real World San Diego and Mike Starr from Dumb and Dumber on Saturday (not at the same time of course).

My brother, girlfriend, best friend, and a lot of other people has seen Mick Foley (Mankind), except for me... He lives right by me.

While a bit intoxicated at a bar in NYC, I walked up to and swore that I knew Adam Mesh, from that Average Joe show. I think he just thought it was funny, and I didn't notice all my friends lauging in the corner. After we talked about 20 minutes, and I decided in fact I didn't know who he was, I walked back to my friends.. once they told me who I had been talking to, I had one of those, "I'm the biggest dork ever" moments.
