Hershey's milk chocolate is nasty. This is a FACT, I will fight anyone on this point.

Anyone who likes Lindt should try its better half, Sprungli.

What's your point? I'm not looking for the highest cocoa content, I'm looking for the best chocolate bar. Hershey's is a damn good bar with a unique, enjoyable flavor and texture. It has layers of nostalgia woven into the experience for almost every American boy and girl while we're at it. That dictates quality, not some snobbish number assignment about how much ground bean they put in the thing.

This is quality sarcasm, unlike Hershey "candy". There should be a rule where you're not allowed to mention Hershey "chocolate flavoured candy" in a grown up chocolate discussion.

Nicest? That is an interesting way to describe chocolate.

"Hey man, did you try that Cadbury chocolate"

"Yeah dude, it was so nice"

lol

On topic, I love Lindt. Everything they make is delicious.

Have you seen any tasting videos? That's the ONLY word Brits use to describe foods they like. No joke.

How can a chocolate bar be "nice"?

Were the other chocolate bars mean to you OP?

Is this a cultural thing? In Australia at least, "nice" is a perfectly common word to describe things that are in any way good, i.e. a nice day, a nice sandwich, a nice person, etc.

Eww, white chocolate is not real chocolate. And as far as I'm concerned, Hershey's and Ghiradelli both taste gross to me.

If you think is snobbish or fancy to prefer real chocolate you have to discuss it more with your Latin American friends so you rid yourself of the idea that it is some European whim instead of plainly wanting the natural flavor of the thing.

I'm one of those heathens that prefers white chocolate.

Milk chocolate is fine too, as long as it's not Hershey's.

You can't even touch my School Fundraiser Game.

I haven't had these in years but I still think of them from time to time. Damn addicting things.

My god this man knows what's up.

Hadn't tried one in years till last year when a cousin's son was selling some. You better believe I bought every almond, crisp, and milk chocolate bar he had.

Except the caramel ones...those he could keep and never sell.

I still have some of that from a larger bar.

It's the last Cadbury stuff I'll have in America imported over...they have none left where I usually go to get my imported stuff.

Insane that they could ban the import...

I've fallen in love with Askinoise chocolate. It's single origin and every bar (specifically the ittys) are from different countries and the back states which one. Every countries chocolate has a different flavor profile and its pretty incredible.

Paired with espresso, these are the fucking best.

Maybe I'm not sensitive to bitter, drink my tea and coffee black, and I drink all sorts of alcohol, because I've recently gotten into 90% dark lindt chocolate.

Its delicious, couple years ago it was disgusting.

I don't like milk chocolate at all and find Cadbury kind of sickening at times.

I just had this one though and it was pretty great:

Yessss!
You don't know chocolate until you have Ghirardelli.

Go to their store in Downtown Disney everytime I go.

Absolute GOAT :

Yessssssssssssss!

Had this the other day, it was delicious. I fucking love dark chocolate.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss!

I also have an affinity for these Belgian Seashell chocolates. My neighbors used to bring these over every year for xmas and the smooth, buttery flavors were heavenly:

I used to love milk chocolate (and Reeses were my favorite candy) but now I've shifted tastes and am currently in love with dark chocolate.

I've tasted several dark chocolates, especially some mentioned in this thread but I love Ghirardelli's the best.

Notably the 72%, but I like to mix and match in pairs.

The matter therein lies that you want to keep upping the % bit by bit. It's kind of like booze. You start with beer, then suddenly you try hard liquor and there's no going back. Once in a while, yeh, beer/~50% Lindt is all right, but you know you've got the beautiful superior waiting there for you.

72% is the highest I can go. Anything more is too bitter for my palate, I have to pair it with fresh blackberries or bananas to make it tolerable.

My man! My fave is the one with just sea salt but that one is good too.

I pretty much only eat Lindt chocolate now, I also find Cadbury gross and unfortunately Hershey too.

Pfft 73% brah, don't know what you're missing.

Speaking of, is there any reason why it's always specifically those percentages?

[edit] Did some research and it seems coincidental that I see the same percentages. Also interesting is that Canada doesn't allow cocoa butter substitutes and being so close to Canada, I should try to get my hands on some Canadian chocolate.
