there is no brand. Those tubs just appear on the bottom shelves of grocery store freezers across the country. Noone's sure where they come from or even what they're made of.TOM f'N CRUISE said:idk the brand but i just buy the big 5 qt jug of sherbert ice cream

I've had these since I was a kid. Cheap and tasty. Two for five!
I swear I love you, I really do....but I just picked some of this up and its pretty crappy. The actual vanilla ice cream taste like shit, and its only saving grace are the waffle pieces, as there wasn't enough caramel to do anything to alter the taste. Not even close to any flavor of blue bell Ive ever had, not even almond pistachio.corkscrewblow said:![]()

Why are some of these other brands so darn expensive(in comparison) when blue bell is so far above them as far as tastes goes? I mean, its the closest any food product Ive had actually come to a real homemade taste. Their vanilla ice cream is insane, especially when considering I'm not even a fan of straight vanilla ice cream and can only really enjoy it if its home made.Boonoo said:Blue Bell by a country mile. "Fake" might be putting it mildly... a number of their products are now labeled as "Frozen Dairy Desserts" because they don't meet FDA requirements for calling them ice cream.andycapps said:I don't like how fake and creamy Edy's is.
Im from ohio, and Ive never even had that :^(andycapps said:United Dairy Farmers in Ohio does, but Blue Bell is very good.

Im down in texas now :^/andycapps said:Do it today! When my parents from Georgia visit, the first thing my dad asks is if I have some UDF ice cream in the house. And they have Mayfield down there, which is pretty good.
UDF cookie dough is great, and the peanut butter and chip is to die for. Butter pecan is good as well.

Next time I head back to ohio to visit the family, Ill most certainly be on top of this!
Our premium chocolate ice cream that has been fortified
with our creamy peanut butter flavor and loaded with
peanut butter cookie dough pieces and our signature
chocolate chips.
I have to go to an actual ben and jerry's shop in order to get it. Ive never seen it in a store before, but once I do...HappyBivouac said:Used to buy oatmeal cookie chunk all the time. Amazing stuff. Can't find it anywhere around here these days.![]()

Graeters is good, but I've never felt the appeal for it considering how expensive it is. $12 for a half gallon at Kroger? No thanks. I'd rather get UDF, which is also out of Cincinnati and to me tastes just as good.
