If two games could have a baby

Dragon's Dogma and Skyrim

I mean I've never played dragon's dogma but the concept seems pretty cool, combat and control can't be worse than skyrim, climbing dragons, big enemies and mountains and dat archer looks pretty good.

AI can't be worse than the followers in Skyrim =P

Persona + Jet Grind Radio = Shin Megami Tensei: ???

Base persona game with a few tweaks and improvements, but big open world where you skate around and stuff instead of the menu map thing from Persona..

DiRT3+WRC
DiRT3 graphics and handling, with a WRC licence for cars and courses.

Brawl + Marvel vs Capcom
I want a Smash Bros style fighter where you can play as any videogame character that has ever existed. Nintendo vs Marvel vs Capcom is a good start.

Minecraft + Crysis 2 (graphics).
Minecraft + Zelda.

GT5 with the cars having the damage model of Burnout Paradise.

Lara Croft and Drake in one game could be nice too :)

Metal Gear Solid + Batman: Arkham Asylum

They share several similar attributes already. This is what Rising was supposed to become instead of turning into a singleplayer fighting game (a genre that boring doesn't deserve the title of 'action games'). :/

Cole Train vs. Guybrush Threepwood - FIGHT!

Solid Idea.
Douche Post.

I don't get what you mean. Why are action games not action games just because they are technical?

To me, they just lack the requisite 'action'. I personally find them dull is all. Feels like a little kid hitting a tree trunk with a stick.

Still, I think AA and MGS would be a good match nonetheless. The story would be entertaining, combat would be the way I prefer it to be in games, there would be tons of cool gadgets to screw around with, silent stylized takedowns, and interesting boss fights (even if they follow simple patterns).

Ratchet & Clank (characters, weapons, story, etc) + Red Faction Guerrilla (physics driven destruction and random chaos)

Metroid Prime and Halo - Prime's Metroidvania structure and world layout mixed with Halo's great enemy stable (or something similar) and combat mechanics/encounter design.

Yes, there is a slim chance that Halo 4 will be something like this.

Exactly what I was gonna post, a new alien world with new enemies, upgrades/abilities & bosses with the gameplay of Halo will seriously be a strong contender for GOTF.

It's a big risk though and it will probably be really hard/time consuming development wise considering how careful each enemy encounter was carefully designed in the past Halo games, add to that a Metroid Prime world and you have a very hard project to pull off successfully in the making...in other words I doubt we'll ever see something like this from Halo. :(

Final Fantasy XI and PSO2.

All of the amazing music, lore, races, environments, and classes of FF11 with twitchy action combat and amazing character customization.

My dream game.

Halo & BF3
4 player co-op FPS, open world, really good AI, vehicles, allow the player to ADS, and FULL destruction.
I want a halo that looks as gritty as their commercials.

Or DICE could just give us 2143 already and call it a day

Star Control II + Super Metroid.

You fly from planet to planet, encountering other races, have space battles, land on planets to explore, and when you disembark you search cavernous landscapes for relics in your awesome space suit.

DAMN I WOULD PLAY THE FUCK OUT OF THAT

3D Zelda + Batman: Arkham City
Zelda's dungeon structure, bosses and pluzzles + Batman's combat, Stealth sessions and quick mapping gadget usage.

I'd go for Colony Wars + Half Life 2

Huge Space battles to conquer "air" supremacy, land on the planets/stations and blow the hell out of the Aliens/Emprie/Rebellion. Everything packed in a good story of course.

Fallout and Doom.

And don't say 'Rage'.

Failing that, I'd want the sense of exploration in Wow, combined with StarCraft's setting, the writing in Planescape/GrimFandango/Fallout, something like Freelancer's or Xwing's space travel, Doom's FPS combat and the kind of orbit/atmosphere transition that doesn't exist yet.

So, I want to go anywhere, do anything and I want it to be awesome. It's the perfect game, basically.

Darkstalkers and Ed Hunter (The Iron Maiden themed-shooter)

Pretty much it would be a fighting game, but with a crap ton of Eddies battling it out. Killers Eddie, Somewhere in Time Eddie, Mummy Eddie, Final Frontier Eddie etc. Each stage is based on different Iron Maiden album art w/ accompanying music. Each Eddie would have a different moveset based on the album theme. OMG that would be amazing. My head would explode.

Fable & Ratchet & Clank

Take the art direction of the Fable series, its sense of time and place, its humour and the excellence of its voice acting and apply it to an action platformer with fabulous upgradable weaponry, that features a brilliantly realised comedy double act as heroes.

So an Anglocentric steampunk Ratchet & Clank basically.

Vampire: Bloodlines + Fallout 3

- Speaks for itself

Red Dead Redemption + Mount & Blade

- free roam around a medieval kingdom, finding Strangers to help or random encounters. M&B combat controls + mounted combat. Siege battles similar to MB but more randomized. Combat tourneys with plenty to do, including mini-games like dice and cards. Prostitutes. Let me behead a general who isn't getting along with my other generals (instead of stripping them naked and leaving them in an inn ala M&B).

Megaman ZX + Super Metroid. Clearly, with the ZX series, Inticreates sought to craft a game that married the Megaman Zero "style", with Metroid-like aspects. Honestly, I don't think it worked out too well, as the Map Systems for both ZX and its sequel were both quite flawed. "MegaMerge" ZX with the game it was obviously trying to cite, and then we would have something special on our hands.
