If you could own any arcade machine, what would it be?

Isn't DJMT just a huge touch screen? If you get a rhythm game get something with cooler inputs!

X-men 4-player cabinets

I'd rather have the X-Men 6 player cabinet.

Yeah, but I've played it as an adult and it's just too cramped. Maybe it's just that my brothers and I are all 6-foot tall broad-shouldered monsters, but I still can't imagine 6 adults squeezing in comfortably for very long.

Nothing too extravagant, just Silent Scope. I could play that all day and it remains one of my favorite arcade experiences.

I'd love a stand up SF2 WW or CE cab, and a Megalo 50 cab (probably the most nostalgic cabinet for me) with boards for all the classic Capcom and SNK fighters.
Throw in Addams Family pinball, Point Blank and Fighting Mania and I'm good to go.

Tesla II BattleTech pod.

It's one thing to play MechWarrior on PC with a joystick and throttle setup, but another entirely to be in a fully enclosed cockpit with green-on-black CRT instrument panels, dozens of backlit buttons, and a joystick that feels like it came out of a fighter jet.

Hands down for me, Side Arms: Hyper Dyne! I loved it because the Mobilsuit had a Robotech Mecha look to it. I found it to be a very challenging side-scrolling shoot-'em-up.

If I had money, I'd get a Pinball Machine. Most specifically, The Getaway - High Speed II. I need the money part, because maintaining those is a bitch.

If I had money, but a little less, I'd make one of those LCD-based pinball machines.

Who am I kidding, i'd do both.

Mortal Kombat II, hands down...

I've always had a thing for this game, and in its dedicated cabinet and with the volume way up, those uppercuts used to rock our arcade. So good.

Original Outrun, Hang-on, Space Harrier machines.

And a 4-player Simpsons cabinet to top it off.

EDIT: oh yeah, an original Darius would be nice as well.

Same here. I saw the thread title and I knew my answer immediately.

Outrun, I completely forgot about that one. Yes, I will add that to my list as well. Or better yet, a drivable Outrun arcade machine.

On a serious note, I couldn't decide on just one. Sunset Riders, Wrestlefest, and the X-Men arcade game all hold special places in my heart, along with the first arcade game I ever saw and played, Ms. Pac-Man.

Who knows where I'd keep it.

I have two of these in the restaurant i manage. Huge crowd favorite. Have the terminator and star wars game too. Term does really well. But that probably because the game allows you to set a time on how long the player lives to the second. Pretty cheap actually.
