Dear God,

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you sooooooooo much for not having a daughter. I havent had to deal with any Disney stars, Bieber, boy bands, High School Musical, Twilight, etc...
I feel so sorry for any father who has to go through listening and/or hearing about this type of crap.

You know what, good for her. I am glad she has 1.5 million hits and people are talking about her. She's what? 13 years old? My old ass would be ecstatic to get 1.5 million hits on one of my songs, so I bet she is happy as all hell (as long as she isn't reading the comments).

Besides, pop music hasn't been about talent in over 60 years. You get rare exceptions here and there but 99% of being a pop artist is image and marketing, and only about 1% is musical ability.

But the greatest thing about modern music is that for every Rebecca Black out there who bought 15 minutes of internet fame, you've got a seriously talented person putting out music online. It's easier than ever for someone who actually has talent to get heard. No more relying on a lucky break, you can record something for relatively cheap and put it on the internet and if you have talent, people get to hear you.

Never before have we had such a huge variety of music and anyone who claims there is no good music out there for them is a lying sack of horseshit.
