We met with game industry veteran Koji 'IGA' Igarashi, who recently released "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night", after a successful Kickstarter campaign held in 2015. As he reflects back on the story behind his title, he was joined later that night by Yohei Kataoka, the creator behind "Tokyo Jungle", another game resulting from alternative funding.

I share his way of thinking about the definition of "indie" more as someone who makes what he wants, like an artist. There are many "indie" studios that self proclaim themselves indies just because they are not part of a big publisher, ar any publisher for that matter.
Anyway, great video with lots of hindsights from master IGA.

Thank you for posting this. This is something I can really appreciate.
He still has the chops to make a great game that you'll want to fully explore. Bloodstained was a wonderful breath of fresh air in an industry dominated by triple A.

The fact that he got, Robert Belgrade to lend his voice to the project also tells me that he is loyal to a reciprocating fanbase.

Do we have any numbers on how much bloodstained sold?

I do hope it was successful because I can't wait for his next creation!
