IGN: 5 Quick Fixes for Resident Evil 5

Man, IGN really screwed up on this one. You just DO NOT criticize one of the sacred cows of gaming. What they hell were they thinking??

Next thing you know, Capcom will actually LISTEN to them and give us some half-cocked, new-fangled, highfalutin analog movement. And then, and perhaps only then, will the gaming apocalypse truly be upon us.

Don't listen to them, Capcom! YOU HEAR ME!? You hang onto those outdated control schemes for dear life and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, you can ram it straight down their pieholes. Of course, you'll have to stop moving before you ram it down their pieholes, but you ram it nevertheless.

And just know that there are a lot of fans who will defend you no matter what the cost. In fact, they will fight tooth and nail to make sure no one even TRIES to criticize anything you do. Because that's not how we do things in a free and open society, and - so help me God - I hope it never is.

Yeah, point 5 is rock stupid. But, Jesus, you people act like IGN just insulted your mother

Exactly. Too many RE fanboys in here defending last gen controls. Shit is inexcusable; after playing the demo none of my friends or co-workers plan to still buy the game.

Shoot a guy in the upper leg, run behind him and press X. This is the move which replaces the suplex move in RE4, I'd say it's a worthy replacement. Especially Sheva's move.
People always talk about the suplex, but it's not Leon uses the suplex all the time. You can pull off the suplex with a leg shot against the monks and soldiers, but against the villagers, he uses a plain side kick.

On a separate note, I finally managed to find a good partner to play with, and we can pull off the tag-team maneuvers to perfection. Chris's Back Hand is so sick.

Yeah, I think this one of those cases where not releasing a demo at all would have been better (for sales figures I mean).
A lot of people would have just gone by RE4 awesomness and bought the game, and it's not like naysayers were likely going to change idea about RE5 after playing the demo.
Now, there's plenty of people considering NOT buying the game after having played the game, even people that were day 1 buyers before, myself included.

I'll probably buy it down the line at a reduced price, but RE5 was one of the main draws to enter the HD generation for me, and RE4 was my favourite game of the last generation (with Wii ed. being the icing on the cake) of consoles.
