IGN: Ten Dreamcast Games We Want on PSN

Who said only 10 can be released?

It's a stupid article, and stupid to argue over. I'm sure if it goes ahead it will not be restricted to 10 titles.

It's like arguing over a person's 'Top 10' for a console or from all games ever - it's always going to be opinion based.

Blue Stinger is still hilariously good, playing it reminds me of why movies like Troll 2, and the Evil Dead series have become cult classics.

I thought Blue Stinger was garbage when I had it back then, let alone aged badly.

Playstation needs the true R A Y M A N 2: T H E GREAT ESCAPE.
Absolutely the most awesome version of this game!

What do you think message boards are for? Pretty much to discuss opinions. Wellcome to Message boards, I am your Host beast786

Lol... yes, I understand this but this thread just reminds me of list wars, and it feels uncomfortable and babyish :)

No PSO? What the fuck? I know IGN are pathetic, but that's absurd.

Why the hell didn't that occur to me!? JESUS! If they came out with it, it would literally be my first download title of this gen (excluding gunstar heroes on VC). Shit, if they threw in free online play (unlikely, but I can dream damnit) I doubt I would touch another game on my PS3 :lol

Chu Chu rocket should be a downloadable game for XBLA, PSN, and Wii. Shit, they ported it to GBA. We aren't talking about a big fucking effort here and no Dreamcast emulation is needed.

Dude... this is sega.

The company that canned streets of rage for the dreamcast because no on thought the franchise was a big deal.

Expecting them to apply logic after what's happened with sonic and the mass exodus of virtually all of their in-house talent... well that would be silly indeed.

Wasn't Rayman Revolution for the PS2 the superior game? If it isn't, then I am missing out!

Wow, just saw a gameplay video on YouTube. Would so buy this. :D
Check out the recent retro quick look on giantbomb.com. Nice to see the game get its well justified love.

It's a solid list, though you'd need at least a top 30 for all the DC games that people should be playing.

The full version of Project Justice with the board game would be concentrated joy.

Wouldn't it be better if the PS2 versions of Space Channel 5 were released on PSN since Part 2 on PS2 was actually released outside of Japan? (Unlike the DC original)

I need it.
Please.

And Powerstone 1 & 2 of course.

What about "SEGA Rally 2 HD 60 fps locked edition"?

It was locked 60fps on the Japanese version with a code that took out the poorly implemented dust effect.

It does need to hit PSN/XBLA though.

Fucking. This. IGN fails.

Sega is the one doing the failing here.

It's 2009. This article should have been: "Top 10 Dreamcast ports found on PSN".

Virtua Tennis 2 is clearly superior to the original in every way. If there was a 1080p remake of that with online I would jizz my pants.

The problem with the list is that the third party developers of some titles like Power Stone would have to be brought in. Not saying it's impossible(especially for a dev like Capcom) but it seems unrealistic for most others. All I ask for in terms of Sega-developed titles is Jet Set Radio, Chu Chu Rocket, Cosmic Smash, PSO, and Seaman utilizing the bluetooth headset.

No offense to the Dreamcast version, but maybe PSN gets the superior GameCube release instead. Either way, RPG fans deserve this level of excellence on PS3.

Wut. If they want to add the extra crap fine, but I thought most of GAF (And anyone with a decent TV) thought the DC version was the version to get... Especially if it's being ported to an HD console, since the GC one looked like shit ona stick and the DC one with a VGA cable still looks fantastic.

Yep, can't wait for Eliot G. Ballade in HD.

Nice to see that DC games might come to PSN, but at the way things have been going they'll probably be ported by Backbone.

I'll stick to the originals, thank you very much. :P

How does that list not include Sonic Adventure 1&2 .. seeing as Sega has the ability to release those two games easier than anything else mentioned .. and seeing as they are the last 2 good Sonic games .. and seeing as they were 2 of the best Dreamcast games?

I really don't understand.

Project Justice: Check -I'd prefer the Japanese Version fully translated though on any system.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Check
Cannon Spike: Check
Bangai-O: Check
Fighting Vipers 2: Nope. -I went through this whole thread and nobody said this. I'm surprised. And as usual JAP version better than PAL version.

I'd pay real cash money to relive the demented majesty of D2 again, can't see it happening but I can dream!

You know, I kinda regret mentioning PSO because playing it again today (PC version), it hasn't aged very well and is really mediocre when compared to something like Monster Hunter.

As DL only title reworked to be Peer to Peer for $10-$20 it would be fucking super epic amazing. The comparison with Monster HUnter is completely unfair, but as an RPG/MMO lite, PSO is still unrivalled to this day as a co-operative experience and is incredibly casual/pick up and play friendly.

i'm confused, where are people getting dreamcast games from that leak? it mentions old PS2 games but there isnt anything about dreamcast there?

edit: NVM, for some reason i thought DC digital was referring to DC comics :lol :O

Yea, I don't see this shit happening. Sounds like a pipedream to see DC stuff on PSN, but if they were to do it, I would say Power Stone and Shenmue for sure.

Since its Sega, first party games ahoy:

Chu Chu Rocket
Rez
Skies of Arcadia
Daytona CE
Jet Grind Radio
Crazy Taxi
Seaman
Dynamite Cop 2
Toy Commander
