This is just video games.
No it's not. We're calling out a poster for waging puerile platform wars by leaving lol emoji's on other poster's posts.
That's not conducive behaviour to meaningful discourse on a discussion forum. That poster is in effect using emoji's to attempt to ridicule people's posts because they merely disagree with them. Rather than, you know... just stating in a post on a discussion forum that they disagree.
It's the definition of childish.
Calling someone out and trying to summon them into an argument makes it personal
Well, good thing no-one was doing this.
We were calling out the childish behaviour of a poster that wasn't posting and engaging in discussion but rather inappropriately using the features of the forum to direct ridicule at various posters. They themselves made it personal.
No-one else had to.
Imagine feeling so personally attacked by someone's opinion of a video game that you need to make a public spectacle of them. Completely childish.
Erm... now you must be trolling because this is a complete mischaracterisation of the event.
The person being called out didn't even express any personal opinion about a videogame at all. The behaviour being called out was them using emoji to direct ridicule on posters (who were themselves only expressing their opinions about a videogame).
So based on this, you MUST agree that the person being called out was the only one being childish. Otherwise, you're being logically inconsistent.
