I'll probably never play Battlefield 4 again

I'm playing BF4 right now, with no issues, in your memory OP. RIP.

Even a shitty BF game is better than almost any other shooter out there, not to mention there's still plenty of time left for Dice to fix things. Does it suck? Yes. Have we waited too long for fixes? Probably. But it's still fun as hell at it's core, when it's working, & that's all I need. That's enough for me.

Also proclamations of quitting games are funny/pointless.

suckers like you are born every minute.. people like you that shrug this off as acceptable make me sick.

would you buy a broken car and be happy if it worked 'most of the time'

Because TF has so much game mechanics rewarding you for team play...

Yeah, I laughed hardcore at that.

Because killing brain-dead AI "teammates" is "rewarding team play."

Why the hell would you be down day 1 and premium next time?? So they can keep doing this to people??

Because we enjoy Battlefield and have you seen Titanfall's 12-player count 64-player battles in a sandbox with tactical destruction in other shooters? No? Okay.

I'm with him, I'll buy the next DICE Battlefield... but they need a stipulation with EA that EA gets off their nuts since EA is making them license Frostbite 3 to EVERY EA internal developer and support that while they're working on Mantle with AMD (which really should just be dropped, IMO) in addition to EA forcing them to work on Star Wars: Battlefront 3 in addition to "fixing Battlefield 4," while working on the DLC for Battlefield 4 AND possibly ramping up for Frostbite 4.0 in addition to pre-production for Battlefield 5/Bad Company 3/whatever next Battlefield DICE title.

I know those are great reasons to play BF in general, it makes everything else seem dated. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT. Its a broken piece of crap. They basically stole our money for the first month, and are still laughing in our faces now. supporting this will not fix it.

I just hate how inconsistent the shooting is. I feel like i die after a couple of bullets and most of the time it takes me like half a clip to kill anyone.

I played a few rounds last night and these are the issues I came across -

1. After the map loaded and I started running around, it would take another twenty seconds before textures loaded in and all sounds started playing - for example, I could jump into a jeep and get PS2-level textures and missing engine sounds. Twenty seconds later, the proper textures have slowly loaded in and the sound suddenly starts properly.

2. I cannot BELIEVE they still have not fixed the camera view bug. If I jump into a jet, there's a 50/50 chance I will or will not have control of the camera to look around. The same goes for any vehicle, but then, with any other vehicle I can jump out and back in again, and it will work. This problem has been there from launch, almost five months ago.

3. I could not join some servers. No useful error report or anything, no explanation, just a red bar on the bottom saying I could not join.

4. The in-game player list said I had a very consistent ping of about 50ms. This does not explain the sudden huge bouts of lag where I could not spawn, or suddenly found myself a few dozen feet from where I had been. This happened on every server I tried.

I do not have any issues with my connection - I am able to play Battlefield 3 and any other game with no connection or lag-based issues. My ping is very consistent across the range of games I play - about 50ms - and I have not experienced lag issues anywhere. My system is hardly a slouch, consisting of a Core i5 2500, 12GB 1333MHz ram, Radeon 7970 GHz Edition (oc'd to 1125/1500), and a slow hard drive is not to blame for slow texture and sound loading as the game is sitting on a 7200rpm drive.

These issues are ridiculous. How can the camera view bug still be with us this long after launch? It sounds like an extremely simple issue to fix. I love the game but the problems I'm having are incredible almost half a year on from launch. Fix the goddamned game, Dice, and EA, let them actually finish next time.

THIS. My biggest issues with the game by far. Hit detection or something is completely off 90% of my games. I' can, from my view, be putting entire magazines into people and the bullets appear to impact and their body does the little rag-doll shake... yet they then start to fire after i've been for a good 1/4 second and waste me! I dont get it.

While I have no love for EA I find it crazy how some people always report the blame on them for the BF4 mess. Surely DICE deserve some of that blame too, don't you think?

So fired this up today and ALL my weapon unlocks are gone. They show up in my profile, but when I go online its like I just started the game.

I am seriously done.

I'm not playing until they fix the shitty netcode and ridiculously low server ticks. I bought this for 20$ on Black Friday and I even regret that.

I'd have issued a chargeback if I was milked with 110$ game+Premium alpha combo.

Got a PS4 recently, have played it for about 5 hours so far. I am a HUGE Battlefield fan, I have owned all BF titles since BF1942.

This game seems to have the worst rubber-banding since BF2124, when all the players used to skate around inside the titans. And I have encountered 1 crash. I think if Dice had delayed this game for a few months and released it in March or April 2014, it would have been a lot smoother. Instead they just rushed it out the door for the Christmas & boxing day crowd.

that's a legacy glitch, it also used to happen in Battlefield 2 on PC. Just restart the game

Not to discount other peoples experiences but I just don't get it. The game has played fine for me on the PS4 since December ... I have yet to experience these bugs.

Maybe I've been lucky? So far Premium has been great for me, my PS4 is basically my Battlefield box right now as I wait for more games to come.

I dont think DICE had a say whether or not it would be delayed and it was probably EA pushing for that release date because of their constant need to one-up the CoD franchise and make their sales numbers look good for that quarter. Whatever the case maybe, your point still stands that the game just wasn't ready to ship when it did. I would almost think that the platform holders should have held EA's feet to the fire too, for allowing them to ship a product as unstable and buggy as it was.

But how much playtime do you have in so far, how many people do you play with, and what time of day? Weekday evenings are the worst where weekend mornings seem best. If your not partying up regularly the spawn on vehicle bug won't hit you and party chat seems to cause bluescreens from time to time. Had a friend who basically said the same thing about having no issues but he was only playing a few hours a week. When I bother to play its usually with between 5 and 12 people, in a full chat party, on weekday evenings. So far I'm just shy of 200 hours. I will say that I got a little under 50 bluescreens before the patch dropped to fix that and have had zero since. My friends have but fortunately I have not.

Did you pay for my game or did I?

I never said it was acceptable, but the reason most of you are pissed is because at it's core it can be great. Some people have more patience than others, and I don't really have much to play on PS4 in the shooter department.

So would you rather take the bus to work every day or spend $100 on a shitty car that gets you to where you want to go with a hiccup every once in awhile.

EDIT: Live in Milwaukee transit system sucks
