I'm crazy. I miss the "Dreamcast Look"

On the flip-side, if you look closely at textures in most Dreamcast games you'll find a lot of ugly compression artifacts. Using VGA this become extremely obvious.

It was certainly possible to translate textures from Dreamcast to PS2...

You're correct about the text, but I was referring to using a 480p capable CRT not a standard definition interlaced model. Even ignoring the text issue, the image quality is still clean.

Eh the result was pretty mixed.i bought it for ps2 a little while ago and it just generally looks quite a bit messier.

Slightly OT (but actually not), Did ed annunziata ever get his Ecco - sequel kick starter funded? Game looked awesome.

Damn, so many memories. It sure was good while it lasted, the overload of incredible games in such a short amount of time is unrepeatable.

Made me flunk my first year in college.

I can't remember how I got it, but I have a retail copy of it. Remember when it was going to do 50 games a disc or something, before it got cut down to one? lols

I cant remember whether I had the Dreamcast Bleem but I definitely had the PC version. Originally there was meant to be one disc that emulated, filtered and cleaned up all the PSOne games. Then they said they found glitches and compatibility issues between games, that lead to some delays and then they decided they were going to release a bespoke Bleem for individual selections of PSone games at a low price. Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, MGS, GT2 were for starters and they would work to release other games. Then the project was shelved either because Sony sued them or Dreamcast itself was cancelled, Im not sure.

I think it's better without Kinect, actually.

If you want a Kinect like experience with more accuracy the PS3 version supports Move as well as 3D.

I preferred playing with a pad myself, though.

Ah, I didn't know that song was in No More Heroes. I've only played Child of Eden with PS Move and Dualshock 3. I think I prefer Move controls. They're not as precise as the DS3, but the freedom, speed and intuitiveness make it up.

Also shared with Lumines Live!.

PS. Mizuguchi is some kind of game developing genius. If you have the opportunity to see him do a live talk, I VERY highly encourage going.

OK, I'm convinced. I see that my local GAME store has "new" X360 copies (read: not sealed, on display) for 9'99€, I'll add it to my backlog whenever I'm close to the place.

By the, and more on topic, I think El Shaddai has a colour palette similar to what people are posting:

It must've been a simpler time back then to have a product like that actually make it to market and also make a previous gen console look significantly better.

I think it was in the order of:
1. BleemCAST! to play all the games!!!
2. Four BleemCAST! packs to play around 50-100 games each.
3. BleemCAST! discs to play four or so(?) games.
4. Individual discs for individual games.

I believe that by now, there's a hacked version that will play (or attempt to play) all of them (at least, ones that don't require the L2/R2 buttons for gameplay).

I was just thinking that as I wrote the above. I also remember that because of the emulation "technology" used, the Bleem! people couldn't stop folks from using pirated copies of games. Hilarious.
