Implosion: Never Lose Hope coming to Switch in July

Don't wanna derail the thread too much but Gameloft could make a killing by porting their iOS/Android games to Switch.

Especially their Modern Combat Call of Duty style games.

I've been asking for this since the eshop opened on 3DS. Now it's much easier and the games won't look terrible even without a ton of effort.

I hope they're at least keeping an eye on the platform.

Now these are the kind of gems that I look for when it comes to game purchases. It has a nice aesthetic, great price, and classic gameplay. Hopefully more AA and B tier games that play great like this keep showing up on Switch. This looks like another solid purchase for my already growing collection of digital purchases on Switch. I've gone all digital starting with this gen of Nintendo hardware and don't regret it. 16 games and counting.

I never really considered the potential of mobile ports to Switch with added controller support. Lots of potential there!

Edit: Yooo this game looks really great. Getting some serious Platinum vibes.

I'm intrigued, never played this.

Sounds like a touch-based action game, is that it?

They say it will be compatible with SD joy-con and Pro Controller, so I assume they'll make it controller compatible for Switch, sounds good.

Waiting to hear more about it and will check videos of the Android version tonight.

Huh, never heard of this before now. Looks great. Curious if Switch will get more "hidden gems" from smartphones.

I think part of the concept of Switch was that mobile ports would be very easy. That's something Iwata talked about a long time ago.

I have it on my galaxy s7 and was really enjoying it until it stopped working for whatever reason lol. Gonna get this for the switch!

Why does Famitsu always release such tiny screens?

I played this on my GPD XD, and the game is pretty cool. Though I played the free version, so it's not the complete game I think.

While we are on the subject on mobile games to consoles, is Oceanhorn any good? I enjoyed what little i played of the free demo, but that may have been cause of the novelty of playing such a game on mobile. Don't know if a full fledged version will stay interesting for long.

It's an OK mobile hack and slash. It got tons of rave reviews, but I think its scores got a massive bump for looking pretty and being a not-terrible game on mobile.

It got great reviews cause it is a great game with tons of content and free DLC, that could easily pass itself as a handheld console game first. Mobile has come a long way.

In for this. Looks decent and I'm pretty interested to see how it plays on Switch with it's mobile heritage.

We need better indies on the switch. Wheres my stardew???

They have a ton of great indie stuff on Switch, though I will add that the best of what was shown in the indie direct for this year is stll yet to come. Going to be a packed second half of the year.

It was an OK mobile game that felt like a decent PS2 mid-tier game. I beat it a while ago and wrote some thoughts on it here.

I think it'll be better on the Switch because it got tough to control on mobile if you didn't have a gamepad. Some of the latter bosses were brutal with touchscreen controls.

Nice review. As someone who unironically enjoyed Devil's Third, you pretty much sold me at the opening line of "a PS2 game in your palm". There's a certain charm to those janky mid-tier PS2 era games that seems long forgotten.

I am intrigued by the game, having seen it on the Eshop last night, but I don't really want to take the plunge without knowing more about the gameplay.

Hopefully there will be a few reviews or impressions on here as it does look fairly interesting.

Hell. Fucking. YES.

Had SO much fun playing this on mobile for the short period I was able to get a controller working on it.

It would be perfectly at home on the Switch, and I hope it can get a sequel if it sells well. Solid classic gameplay.

Wait, this is a phone port? Hype is dying. Besides "better graphics," is it any different?

Game is available in NA as well. Can't wait to hear some impressions. Looks like it could fill a great gap on the Switch, being an action-packed slasher. For only $12 it's a pretty safe risk based on reviews of the mobile version. FlyHigh and Circle Ent have no let me down yet -- not a single effing time.

Def gonna pick this one up today, would be great to have a fluid action hack 'n slash game on the Switch.

I wish I would have brought my Switch to work. I would have been able to give my impression before tonight.

Played a few missions, and for the price I'd say it's a good one. Short impressions:

- Looks ok but is clearly a mobile port. The visual style makes things a bit unclear at times.
- No performance problems in docked or handheld mode.
- Controls perfectly fine with pro controller and in handheld.
- Great loading times.
- Can't say much about the customization or different skills and upgrades yet, but seems like there's a good amount of content.
- The first levels are short, but personally I like it since it makes the game great to play in short bursts, especially on the go. And there's replay value too.
- VA is horrible.

Overall a fun little game.

Can you switch with japanese voices? I read there is an option about it but I found nothing.
