Whaaat? No Watanabe in that video? I'm just gonna assume that detailing his job would be a bit spoilery.

Also as expected Tom Hardy looks to be the most badass character in this film.

Jesus Christ, why the fuck do they refuse to include Wantanabe in the trailer? You'd think the antagonist of the film is important enough to be included within a freaking character trailer :lol

Nolan's Tumbler Golf Cart on the WB lot, wtf :lol

Christopher Nolan may be hard at work editing "Inception" but that doesn't stop him from getting from Point A to Point B in style. The fact that he gets where he needs to be in this, should be clear evidence that he is clearly going to be directing Batman 3 and we should be excited.

Not sure if this is legit, but:

Advanced screenings in a few select cities (Denver, Kansas City, Omaha, Portland, West Homestead, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Seattle).

for the dallas advanced screening...

Tell us this…if you could break into any famous person’s head (alive or dead) and steal their dreams, who would it be and why? It can be an actor, filmmaker, musician, athlete, literary figure, or an historical figure…anyone you choose. Just use your imagination! Leave your answer in the comments below (must have a valid email address). After that, it’s simple. The most innovative and creative answers will be awarded passes to our screening on Monday, July 12 at 7:30 PM. Winners will be notified no later than Friday, July 9.

anyone want to help me out?

Seeing how everyone in here is hyped I think it's a good place to pose this hypothetical. Would you have liked to see this movie initially produced in 3-D? Not that Clash of the Titans bullshit but integral from the start.

I think since it's already a trippy movie with crazy visuals, artistically used 3-D would be perfect.

I think I'd enjoy it as long as it was done intelligently and in moderation. I don't want the film reminding me constantly that it's a 3d movie. I don't want things poking out at me just because the characters are in dreamland. Just surprise me at a really intense moment in a dream.

1st review! (from Peter Travers)

3.5/4 stars (only 1st paragraph):

The mind-blowing movie event of the summer arrives just in time to hold back the flow of Hollywood sputum that’s been sliming the multiplex. ‘Inception’…will be called many things, starting with James Bond Meets ‘The Matrix.’ You can feel the vibe of Ridley Scott’s ‘Blade Runner’ in it, and Nolan’s own ‘Memento’ and ‘The Dark Knight.’ But ‘Inception’ glows with a blue-flame intensity all its own. Nolan creates a dream world that he wants us to fill with our own secrets. I can’t think of a better goal for any filmmaker. Of course, trusting the intelligence of the audience can cost Nolan at the box office. We’re so used to being treated like idiots. How to cope with a grand-scale epic, shot in six countries at a reported cost of $160 million, that turns your head around six ways from Sunday? Dive in and drive yourself crazy, that’s how.

For comparison purposes, Peter Travers gave Memento and Insomnia 4 stars, The Dark Knight and The Prestige 3.5, and Batman Begins 3.

God, that character trailer was bad ass. I cannot wait. I will echo Travers' concern though, that trusting the intelligence of the audience could cost it some box office. My concern is not the intelligence factor (I always hated the idea that smart movies turn people away), but just the mindfuck WTF is going on factor is what might turn people off. That it is just SO out there that people might not see it.

Me? That is what really makes me want to see it.

Peter Travers always gets the first review because they need to pay somebody for the critics quotes they put in the early commercials.

actually its because he is a print mag and they have to get his reviews out for a monthly issue.

but you are probably right

Who is really waiting for movie reviews from a monthly magazine anyways?

"Hold on, honey, I don't think we can see this movie for another 2 weeks, Rolling Stone hasn't told me what it thinks yet!"

Well, that's the point. The issue comes out the beginning of the month and has all that months following reviews. It's just stupid that he (and the trades) can publish a review beforehand and everyone else has an embargo.

I wonder how long the embargo will be on the reviews after tomorrow's press screening. I think TDK had a small embargo, but once word started to leak about the movie WB was like "Fuck it, post them"

Since those screenings are for press junkets it will be a strict, early embargo. The regular press screenings happening early July will likely leak like a faucet.

Looking back at the TDK thread, the first screenings started around the same time as Inception and reviews began popping up almost immediately.

There are always little hints and stuff on Twitter and such, but don't usually see fully published reviews from those types of screenings. Then again, this is the biggest film of the year.
