What? In an online only shooter they still haven't mentioned how many maps or modes the game will have. Hell, they just RECENTLY confirmed that there's 3 Titans. We barely know anything about the content in that game. That E3 footage was the only video out there for months.
It's easier for Titanfall, because well choreographed gameplay on itself is marketing for Titanfall. Even without talking much about content, Titanfall has managed to wow by the sensational vibe that its videos showcase the pace and how the game seems to be able to have the 'epic moments' very frequently.
Imo, what Second Son needs is to show us are 2 things:
- a proper sense of traversal in the open-world, without any of the combat. Just travelling around, from building to building like Nightcrawler and the Flash. Let the gamers seep in the beauty of the open-world.
- a boss level combat. Something that demands Delsin to focus on one enemy, but said enemy can also leap around buildings, basically forcing a traversal battle between 2 super powered people. Right now, combat looks dull because there's too many grunts and they're easily defeated, thus not being able to showcase how the combat will feel when you're actually forced to jump around against an opponent of similar abilities.
Something like what the video in the Taiwan event, but against villains with powers, and can tank you. Something that forces Delsin to utilise the neon runs and smoke traversal while chipping down the enemy, jumping from building to building to maximise your positional advantage.
