Defintely getting this.
Now, if they gave the Wii U a stick like the one coming to 360/PS3 it would be the icing of the cake. But sucks that at the moment, the Wii U version:
-Doesn't have preorder costumes
-Doesn't have a "limtied edition"
-Doesn't have an "arcade stick edition"
Even Tekken got a stick and it was a launch title.

The interactive enviorment would of been awful in tournament play. It's too random an element which is is exact people have against smash and such games.
That was actually a real good idea. Personally the game looks like may have an interesting story but will probably be pretty crap to play. That said, I still haven't given mortal Kombat a chance yet which is something I aim to rectify.

Urrg the story is crap like I expected it to be and is pandering to the ones that like the Superman vs Batman cliche/dislike the new 52. Of course Batman is the creators pet so he gets to play rebellious hero while Supes becomes evil. Well I'll still give it a shot, who plays fighting games for the story anyways? Punching Bats face in with Superman is the first thing I will do in training mode.

How the hell did Lois get Preggers and that is beyond fucked up to have Supes kill her (and baby Supes) just to make him turn evil. Heck killing Lois alone does it usually but now you have to add a baby that is a plot hole unless you answer the compatibility issue. Tom Taylor, please don't ever get near Superman comics.

Hawkgirl was the better pick. Hawkman getting in would cause the pseudo-feminists to start up a big stink--and it's not like they haven't already been doing that. Besides, there are thousands of DC characters, and Hawkman was never a must have, nor is he an obscure choice.
There's nothing random about them--they're all player-initiated, they behave exactly the same way every time. People are just too set in their ways to accept anything that deviates from the norm.

Looks like it. Might be the New 52 alt that comes with the gamestop exclusive stick bundle, but either way thats definitely another alt for Batman. Loving all these costume options.

Just reread Red Son tonight. I love the idea of Superman not being his usual self. Pretty excited for this game.

The graphics are definitely inconsistent, I'll say that. Different parts of the trailer clearly look way better than other parts which look way shitty. The game still has a few months of development though so I'm not too worried yet.
The playable characters and the stages look better, but the cutscenes look rough, especially the NPC's.

I wish they explored other characters. At what it is now its Batman and Friends the game with all those Batman characters. This games could give some chance to other comic characters to shine but they are going over the Batman and Superman fans for most of the time.

Superman/Batman is such a silly fight. Look at the way Superman is pointing at Batman. That point says "I am about to pulverize you into dust, and it will take me 1/8 of a second to do so." What is Batman going to do? His look kind of says, "Who, me?" while he looks to be grabbing a Batarang. Uh oh, watch out, not a Batarang.
If you're going to use Kingdom Come for inspiration, at least pay attention to who they got to play opposite Supes - you need a Captain Marvel if you're going to go toe to toe with Truth, Justice, and the American way.
And of course, what is the Joker's lackey even doing on the same stage, that's a real joke.
Unfortunately, people buy Batman by the boatload these days. It's a safer bet to simply make Batman the hero and villainize Superman, even if Man of Steel looks like it'll be huge.
Kingdom Come did an amazing job with keeping Superman true to himself while pushing the fascism aspect properly. It broke new ground but didn't feel like a cop-out just to build dramatic tension.

Just once, I'd like to see the shoe on the other foot and let Batman be the one who needs to be taught a lesson. It'd at least be a nice change of pace.

I'm sad they buckled under pressure and made the stage interactions optional. I hope the competitive community aren't babies about it and don't even try it.
Some of them are so silly, they need to stay.
Man that reminds me...the last time something like this was done in a fighting game was Real Bout 2!
Dex Starr either needs to be a hazard, or a part of Atrocitus' super (assuming he would stand to be in the game).

I was hoping more of a Blackest Night space stage in battle tower missions or something to have fun with or select in non story mode for fun. Actually, it really would be cool if outside of storymode there were non story canon stages made for fans of certain other DC storylines just to play in. Could get some really awesome DLC missions that way. Infinite Earths, Flashpoint, Blackest Night, Doomsday, Final Crisis, Kingdom Come...so many good settings to choose from for extra mission mode stages. It would also help make mission mode feel more entrenched in its own storylines and make it feel more like another mode than just a tacked on way to play the same old game if its adding new settings with their own challenges to enjoy that are exclusive from storymode.
Plus the whole"beat mission=get new versus mode stage" thing can happen for unlocks
Then there should be a challenge tower mission where you play as Catwomans cat from her intro against Dex.
It's criminal how WB has wasted the value of the DC properties. Marvel's got the right idea - just keep grinding out quality movies within the same universe. DC is cursed to get a bunch of lame movies that are never connected to other DC franchises, outside of the recent Batman trilogy (which is at fault as much as anything - that Batman universe wouldn't be compatible with other DC films, and made so much money that there was no reason to do anything else).
If you were operating in a vacuum, I think you'd do something like Batman movie, Superman movie, Wonder Woman movie, Trinity Movie, Green Lantern / Green Arrow movie, Aquaman movie, Batman Sequel, Superman Sequel, Justice League Movie

Not too concerned about the stage situation yet. From past builds we know there will be at minimum 15 stages in the base game and at this point we only know, what, 7 maybe 8 of them?

The blood in this game seems weirder every time I see it. They can't go as far as MK without getting an M-rating, so the way they implemented in makes it seem like they're bleeding out of nowhere. Pretty jarring. I think it would have been better to just leave blood out altogether and go for a hit effect style similar to Arkham Asylum or DOA5.
Story stuff seems pretty neat though. Joker's voice...not so much so far.

It actually does have hit sparks, grey ones when you land a hit, and red ones when they block it. The blood just kinda overshadows it most of the time.
With out kombat kodes, there will probably an option to turn off blood.

Well, we know that the Red Son characters will include several missions, though how those are set is still unknown.
WB has made many great Justice League films. And three great television series.
Live action... is a little more difficult.
