There are a zillion side scrollers. It is so overdone. Hope this one is a 3D platformer but I somehow doubt it.

I don't think so. Watch it be Vive exclusive. Insomniac already has a PS4 exclusive (Ratchet) and a Oculus exclusive (Edge of Nowhere).

There's no guarantee this is coming to the consoles, it could very well be for Mobile as well. Looks interesting though.

Resistance is the very definition of bland. Even if the gameplay is fine the aesthics, character design and lore will always hold it back. Insomniac found their mojo with Sunset so either MS gives the go ahead for a sequel which good guy phil really should or Insomniac should continue making fresh new titles like presumably this one.

This is not connected to the SteamVR showcase btw. UploadVR just published the list of the titles that will be shown there. Unless this is called Audioshield, which I doubt.

I think I got this game now
; its like Child of Light Mechanically (moving around a open 2D Plan with a flying ability, replaced with swimming in a sub in this games case) but with some twist we don't know about yet.Its good news that GameStop has pre-orders up, as this indicates the game isn't a mobile-only title, so people with PS4's, Xbox One's and maybe Wii U's have a chance to get this game (if it comes to them).

I actually looked that up yesterday. Apparently the original creator of Ecco The Dolphin tried to kickstart either a revival or a spiritual successor of some kind, but the kickstarter failed. I couldn't find the video for it though.
