Interactive thriller Erica for PS4 now available

So, this is like Hidden Agenda?

yup. but if i recall correctly, you can only play hidden agenda via the phone app.

the interactive parts of this game (e.g. flicking a lighter, opening a drawer, etc etc) are nicely animated. almost looks like you're actually interacting with the full motion video. you can see bits of this in the trailer.

i gotta say though, the story feels quite rushed. there are times where it goes by so fast, i have almost no idea why things are happening and for what reason.

i think im about halfway through the game maybe, and if i were to compare the story between this and late shift (another FMV game), i kinda give late shift the win here.

i'll need to finish erica before i can make a full judgement.

Wasn't hidden agenda video game graphics engine similar to Until Dawn?

Or are you saying it's for motion video like Late Shift and The Bunker bought more interactive like Hidden Agenda?

yeah hidden agenda used the until dawn graphics engine. but you didnt have any direct control of character movement. only selecting choices.

erica is all FMV, just like late shift. but with more interactive bits, in addition to selecting dialogue choices. like opening drawers, doors, turning pieces of paper over, etc.

Oh nice!

I enjoyed Late Shift and The Bunker. I have Hidden Agenda installed, but yet to fire it up.

I like games like this as well as PnC Adventure games as a good mix up when I start to get AAA gaming fatigue, or have prolonged periods of non-gaming.

I also have the Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, and The Shapeshifting Detective on my wishlist for their next sale.

Reminds me of the old FMV games on the PC from the 90's.

Man, I loved "Black Dahlia" back in the day.
Serial killers, cults, nazis, bad green screen sets... it had it all.

How's everyone finding this now its on PS PLUS?

Just started and seens quite fun. At first I couldn't tell if it was amazing graphics or FMV (lots of the early scenes are darkly lit sets). I'd love it next gen if this would be the kind of graphics we could achieve. The only FMV game I've played is the Curious Case of Dr Dekker. Which was fun but a bit too much typing.
