The only time I've considered it was with my WiiU, that launch system was packed up for a few days before I decided to keep it.

Right now the PS4 looks to be a done deal. All the pre order sales threads show it's gonna be a PS2 situation and megabuxx to be made?

Me? Got an amazon order in place but might get a pre order from GAME for the whole mid night experience.

I don't think we'll see the same supply issues as we did this gen. But if there is an opportunity and I've got the financial means then I'll do it.

I have two ps4's pre-ordered, but that was mainly as a back-up incase one of my pre-orders has a problem/bad hardware/doesn't come to me at launch. If i end up getting both i'll think about reselling. I pre-ordered a wii u from best buy, decided that i didn't want it because it lacked games, and ended up just returning it to the store since there was no resell market. I am not going out of my way to accumulate ps4's in order to sell though.

If the launch lineup consists of only the stuff that's already been announced, I might. Because apart from Knack, I want none of it.

Was gonna do the same thing with the WiiU, but then a friend wanted it so I let him have the one I reserved at cost. But then, that didn't skyrocket in price, either.

Good luck to anybody scalping the Xbox One. Can't wait to see that one screw over scalpers.

If I had the spare cash I would do it. Who knows though, maybe PS4 will have ample enough supply for this to backfire.

Is scalping the bone possible?

Highly doubt it.

As for me, I have a PS4 pre-ordered from amazon and gamestop (the one in my town is actually reputable). If I can scalp then I'll change over the delivery address for the amazon one, if not, then I simply cancel and move on with life.

Yup, I did it the last generation to pay off the consoles I eventually kept, and I plan to do the same this time around.

We ordered 3 on Amazon, but no scalping involved - just a lot of office-wide multiplayer fun for next year :)

That's why I always purchase one of each console, and if the demand is there, I'll sell it and simply purchase another when they're readily available, otherwise I'll just keep them if there's no money to be made.

Nope. I buy my gaming systems for me. I'm not trying to make any extra cash by fleecing somebody else because they couldn't get a system locked down on launch. Seems like a dickish thing to do, actually.

...what's scalping?

Purchasing a system just to sell it at a higher price because it's not very available anywhere.

Very douche-y thing to do to be honest.

Depends on the price; I am buying one to keep, but if I can sell it for twice as much, or more, then you better believe I will sell it in a heartbeat and repurchase it when it becomes readily available. As a bonus, I'll even be able to purchase a lot more games for it with the extra money.

The only console I ever "scalped" was a launch PS3 60gb model. Threw it on eBay the day after launch with the starting price being the retail MSRP. It ended at over $1,200.00

My wife convinced me to do it and I still feel guilty about it. I worked at a Funcoland during the PS2 launch and hated all the scalpers with a passion as I saw many parents struggle to find one at retail pricing. I hate being a hypocrite.

So no, I won't be scalping ever again.

Normally this wouldn't cross my mind but I'm very slightly tempted to buy XBOs, validate them online then sell them on the Polish equivalent of Ebay. Sadly I don't live in Germany.

If they're willing to pay $1200.00 for a PS3 60gb, then good for them; they can afford it and the profit helped out with your bills.

I will if the prices are really outrageous. I have both preordered but there is no must-play at launch on either console IMO

I am planning to, but the PS4 is really starting to intrigue me. I may end up keeping it and just selling my XB1 preorder.
