If it is or isn't I watch it sometimes.

It's crazy watching lions, bears crocodiles do their thing. The raw stuff, not the sanitized/romanticized footage that the nature shows put on.

There's just something exciting watching a big ass animal go wild on another one*.

*Except bugs/and insects. That's just gross and make my skin crawl.

Sorry, but the following video is required whenever a topic like this comes up:

Beetle vs Frog:

I find it fascinating when predation happens in a natural setting, but I wouldn't want to watch someone feeding puppies to an alligator or something, even if there is no real difference.

EDIT: Had the wrong video. Fixed.

Not sure why it'd be strange. I do know that GAF gets upset if a picture of an animal eating another is posted, but other than that, I'd say it's pretty normal.

Witnessing a lion kill in the wild is extremely rare and is know to be an amazing sight.

Sure, we can watch it on YouTube, but in person it must be grand.

This picture is hilarious. He's all like "I am the boss" and subsequently gets eaten.

There was something that fascinated me in the "Life" documentary (I think that's what it was), the part with the three leopards (or maybe cheetahs or something) trying to hunt and kill two ostriches.

Ostriches are apparently strong enough to kill a leopard/cheetah with one well-placed kick. the cheetahs attacked and one of them kick kicked, but the hit glanced off of him. The other ostrich manage to get away while the other was getting killed. It kept kicking while on the ground and manage to hurt one of the cheetahs again.

There was a shot up close on one of the cheetahs as he was biting the ostrich's neck. You could clearly see him close his eyes and breathe in and our deeply, like a sigh of relief after desperation.

I'd never seen such emotion in an animal documentary before. Even though I know they must be feeling fear/excitement/Etc., it was awe-inspiring to see that detail.

i don't find it strange, but sometimes it sucks when you have animals like hyenas that just start smashing on you without killing you first.

If you have a cat, you get used to it. They eat bugs, mice, squirrels, rabbits, birds, moles, etc.

But I don't think it's particularly enjoyable to watch.

Saw some lions eat a baby elephant in a nature show once, but the twist was they like kept the elephant alive by starting with its ass and parts that it could live without for some time, kept the meat fresh you know. Was pretty brutal with the elephants cries while they were eating it

Edit : here it is

Ugh when they start eating the elephants trunk and it's screaming. :(

Watching them fuck is better.

I can't click, but that's the kind of thing, among lots of other shit that would have me tempted to just switch this universe off, if I were presented with the off switch.

Its only weird if you are masturbating while watching it.

Seriously GAF 21 replies and Im the first to say this. Im fucking disappointed.

Spotted Hyenas are my favorite animal and eviscerate their prey alive. Pretty gruesome stuff, especially the one you tube video where they ripped an unborn wildebeest calf from its mother's womb.

That was sad watch. :( Smart bastards kept him muzzled too. I was hoping towards the end, the mama would have came, and stomped on their asses.

A single Bison against a single Wolf. They both get separated from their repsective packs and have to fight to the death. Both completely fucked and covered in blood. They actually stop to catch breath mid fight. Video cuts off near the end, but the
wolf wins
. Just about.

Yeah, I have no real aversion to seeing a crocodile tear a wildebeest to pieces, but I'm greatly disturbed seeing animal cruelty at slaughterhouses.

I like how the wolf had a buddy who promptly ditched him. Never leave a man behind

lions actully do kill before eating. there was a documentary about it saying how this particular group of lions from area do not do that any more.

The bison flings the wolf around like it's nothing.

should have won ;___;

No. I watch animals eat each other on nature shows without much concern, and I also watch animals mate. I don't know if it's weird or not, but I like to watch animals courting and mating. Since we have so much wildlife in Miami, it's actually a pretty common thing. PEACE.

I love watching cats hunt and eat their prey. From big cats to housecats. The natural selection has left them with unique tools and a keen understanding on how to proceed to eat most of their prey while leaving dangerous parts (intestines) alone.

I filmed my old cat ripping open a rat that he killed and brought to our doorstep in the night.
First licking over the fur to determine the direction of growth (to easier swallow pieces) then cracking the chest open with a single bite. Avoiding to rupture the intestines in the process.

We also had a Zebra Spider in front of our house. I loved watching her catch her prey and occasionally inject the digestive fluids into the poor little buggers before sipping the fluids out.

I guess people could feel grossed out by that, but to me it's just as natural as me eating Noodles.
