Is Kojima going woke?

At first I thought "What the fuck are they talking about? It's a translator job" then I seen the DEI bullshit.
Maybe he needs a trans-lator. (Or someone to explain the DEI bullshit).

Well, from what i see and hear, these extreme anti-woke guys also kind of "woke", for them anything don't meet their hope then it's "woke", some even use misinformation as their way of reasoning

It doesn't really have a definition. It is a catch-all term for the everyday man to describe a phenomenon that he can identify from pattern recognition.

The everyday man does not understand the complexities of Cultural Marxism or Intersectionality, nor does he need to. He can see the effects of it and woke is a nice easy label for him to slap onto it.

Definition of Woke: Sacrificing creative authenticity and artistic vision to real life political views (Liberal leftist identity politics).

So a game or movie can have a girlboss, gay, trans or whatever type of character and not be woke. But if that character doesn't fit in the narrative and worldbuilding, if that character forced or out of place then that means it's woke.

People who says woke and antiwoke crowd are the same or pretending to not understand what's going on in the western entertainment industry are incredibly dishonest or very very stupid to me tbh. No offence.

Funny, I was just thinking about how the "woke" and "anti-woke" shitshow had slowed down a good bit on this forum, and then there's a bunch of threads about if this or that is "woke".

There is no "woke" on this forum. They broke away to form ResetEra.

This forum is basically gamers + "anti-woke tards" who favour stirring shit more than they enjoy actually engaging in discussions about gaming.

This is actually very common in Japanese entertainment (games, manga anime etc.) since at least the 90s and usually done very tastefully/funny. Unfortunately any of that will immediately be labeled woke currently regardless of context.

MGS V? That game was the most barren Metal gear game in the history of the franchise, even the previous 4 entries had better atmosphere and immersion, hell I'd even put Policenauts above MGSV as Kojima's best game..
 
Kojima is defo woke af, think even back to mgs3 times (2004, well before wokeism was super common in gaming industry), think about it- who was snake's mentor/teacher and who beat him easily in close quarters hand to hand combat- 40yo woman rofl, in reality even if she was trained by martial arts masters any 19yo marine would whooped the floor with her w/o breaking a sweat, not to mention some1 who is elite of elite like snake :P


In reality even if she had a knife/machete/dagger she would still likely lose vs ur run of the mill marine :P

Saying all that i loved all mainline entry mgs games+ raiden game(even ground zeros/mgs5, still got my ps4 copy of it :p) simply coz setting of those games is kinda unrealistic/supernatural(to a point) so all the "strong females" dont break immersion for me :)
Its same way im kinda ok with women beating males in chinese martial arts cultivation novels or when some kind of magic/auras/special mutations/superhero powers are involved.

Example:
Buffy the vampire slayer, being op af and beating all those vampires was always awesome to me and it didnt break immersion(her having super strenght etc) coz simply it was properly explained by the story/setting, it simply was believable :D


Abby in tlou2 was not believable hence i couldnt apreciate game's splendid gameplay/graphics/animations coz story/abby herself and how she behaved broke immersion all the time, like for example here where for some unknown reason(cuckmans ghay phantasies?) steroids made her skull impregnable akin to that of a cyborg and she is fine after taking a hit brock lesnar would get knocked out after :P

It's true.

To break into Hollywood you either have to be an artistic genius with a project like Sling Blade or you have to be in the in group, and welcomed with open arms.

Kojima is not a storytelling genius.

He does want his games to be like Hollywood. To him without the nuance of living in the shit, selling out to woke in the west probably sounds like an easy shortcut to take late in his career. The time to sell out to woke was a few years ago. Now is not a good time.

And he wasn't alone!! The more power he has gotten the worse those Metal Gear games became.

I still love MGS to death and its my favorite gaming franchise (1-4)

But I believe MGS is his best work, and they got slightly worse with each upcoming iteration as his name got bigger and his control increased.
