I think we're all forgetting the biggest badass in comics, the Black Panther. He's basically Batman except he runs an entire nation(most of the time storyline wise.)

Slightly off topic but one thing that has bugged me in the Xmen movies is how weak Magneto appears to be. Where is the magnetic shield? His powers seem very limited in the movies.

As for the Hulk, why can't the Hulk being shielded into some sort of a forcefield for containment? or would his raw power eventually destroy any such field?

Mastermind was dying from the Legacy Virus (thus his power was amplified)... X-Men went to see him, Iceman, Bishop and Jean Grey were pulled into his mind and shared a fantasy where they each got to live their life's wish. Bishop got to be with his dead sister, Shard, again... Iceman was insanely popular, is hooked up with his old crush, Polaris, and leader of a group of X- Men, and Jean was happily married to Scott with 2 kids.

Eventually things start to break down, Jean realizes things are messed up, finds Iceman and Bishop, and then Mastermind himself, who wanted to apologize for his part in helping the white queen and the Hellfire Club manipulate Jean into becoming the Black Queen, and eventually Dark Phoenix.
