I grew up using average powered computers and it bogged down every one of them, took forever to load, and made startup a complete nightmare. And no im not trolling, I truly dont like the software and have refused to put it on my current computer for years now. I loike how they shove quicktime down your throat as well, fucking bastards.
see5harp said:Yea don't download quicktime. Or use a different program. I'm really curious as to how an iTunes install made startup of your computer a complete nightmare.
what's the correct answer for windows?afternoon delight said:Stopped reading there. Wrong OS.
Maybe those are giving issues, but considering the footprint of those applications, they really shouldn't have.itxaka said:well, the thing install like 5 services(bonjour, idevices helper, quicktime, updater, etc..) so I can see how it could fuck up the startup.
Thankfully you can stop and/or uninstall those services (fucking bonjour)
whatsinaname said:It runs ok on all my machines, but I find the iPod/iPhone management very unintuitive when connected to iTunes on different machines. I've wiped the music on my phone/ipod multiple times while trying to change various settings.
Ashhong said:Because you can only sync it to one machine. Only thing you can do is manually add music to an ipod. And there are multiple warning messages that come up before they wipe your data...
whatsinaname said:I understand, but it is still very unintuitive. I set it to 'manually manage' on my computer at home.
Then I connect it to my computer at work, that option is unchecked. I check it and hit apply, it starts syncing and removes all my music?
whatsinaname said:it starts syncing and removes all my music?
You can only sync it to one computer at a time. Wipe will happen the first sync too. If you try it on computer #2, you must erase everything and resync again. And, if you go back to computer #1, same thing will happen. Guess, it's their shitty way to stop people from moving stuff to other computers.f0rk said:My sister bought music from iTunes on her iPod touch, and then managed it get it wiped when she synced it.
Touches (v4) are the best thing Apple has put out, in it's entire lifespan by farHiResDes said:iPod Touch's are awful, by a classic or a nano/shuffle...My stepdad has one and it freezes the computer just about every time.

Has happened once on each. Have been careful since then. (iPod Touch 1st Gen and iPhone 4)Ashhong said:iPod or iPhone?

Is there a way I can make it download multiple parts of a podcast? Some of the podcasts I download come in 2 parts and i have to go back and manually download the second part every day because Itunes only takes the newest/freshest one when I hit "refresh".
I looked in the options for the podcast folder, but didn't see a way to make it download multiple "new" ones.
This was a long time ago, his were 1st Gen. LOLTeetris said:Touches (v4) are the best thing Apple has put out, in it's entire lifespan by far
Click on the podcast -> Click 'Settings...' -> Uncheck 'Use Default Settings' -> For 'When new episodes are available' choose 'Download All'ToxicAdam said:Since this is an Itunes bitch thread, I have a question.

Rapping Granny said:God damn, I was in a hurry to catch the bus, but had only a couple of minutes to add a song or two. Open up iTunes for the first time in a month on my windows 7 pc, it had to update then Had to restart, then needed to open up the iTunes home page for some fucking reason, taking up a good chunk of time, then had to sync the fucking iPod and transfer everything from the music library and everything from the iPod into the fucking computer without asking my permission, then I tried to cancel it which froze the fucking program and just ejected the iPod and said fuck it.
You can just tell it to ignore Safari forever.Mr. B Natural said:Oh hey, another stupid pop-up from itunes telling me there's an update. Wonderful. No, I don't want safari. Remember when i said I didn't want safari the other 500 times? If I wanted safari, I'd download safari. Yes, I agree to your terms for effs sake. Remember when i agreed to your terms of service the 500 updates?
I wonder if this version will run less chunky.
<Clicks scroll bar.>
< Drags scroll bar.>
<Wait half a second for scroll bar to move>
Nope. I guess I should upgrade my graphics card so itunes can run at 30fps.

Every piece of software makes you re-agree to Terms of Service every time they change it.
Seriously, this whole thread is a bunch of guys admitting they don't know how to use computers.
