OMFG!!!!!!! OMFG!!! AHH

CHEAP LOVE.

Watch it immediately.

Oh yeah, I watched that one a while back. Was very enjoyable. :) New Zettai Kareshi out so I'll probably watch that. ALso watched first episode of Rookies, would like to watch more but BF needs to come over next time since we're watching it together. Otherwise, I've been enjoying the kdrama Bad Family. :D

Yes, Hotaru no Hikari is a very funny comedy. It's almost like the reverse of Densha Otoko, about an office lady who's hopelessly incompetent at love. She dresses nice for appearance at work, but is a total slob at home and likes chugging down beer.

You have no idea how true this is for women in asia.

For the new Ayase Haruka fans, watch "Sekachu" and "Byakuyako".

Yeah, she is HOT!!!

I liked the latter but the former was irritating. Every time the protagonists older self was shown all he would do was bawl, and not just crying in a normal fashion but in the overly wrought manner of falling to his knees slowly while standing in rain clutching a picture of the girl or something equally insipid. But Journey Under A Midnight Sun was an EXCELLENT series.

Odd request, but I'm looking for kinda a mystery/suspense drama. Do they exist?

Oh man do they ever. I suggest

Galileo (one of my favorite dramas from last year. Physicists should not be messed with.)
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Galileo

Trick( a little slapsticky but the chemistry from the two leads is awesome)
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Trick

Tantei Gakuen Q( kind of like a very creepy version of detective conan)
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Tantei_Gakuen_Q

Puzzle( it just started but the first epsiode was pretty good.)

Nah I hated My girl for some reason. Probably because the lead actress in full house is freaking hot and the lead actor looks like a funny girl. I watched My girl after watching full house and was disappointed by the actors.
Funny, I watched them in the opposite order and feel the exact opposite of you.
Anyway, proposal daisakusen is awesome, and so is 1 liter of tears

I think she's so pretty, I have a huge crush on her now.

Sweet. Adding this to my list.

I just finished Nodame Cantabile...so sad that's it's finished.
I love feel good endings..

Still going through Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.
First episode was OK, but for some reason I really enjoyed the second one.
I guess I just needed to get adjusted to the characters..

Going to start episode 3 today ( I watch an episode a day to pace myself)...
This is def going to a great series. :D

I finished watching LIFE and wow what a great show. Manami was such a cunt. She had me cursing her every time she was on screen. Are there any shows like this that are more serious? I don't like the corny love story. I want real fucked up shit. I heard of Lasts Friends. I'll watch it when it's finished its run.

I didn't know they finished LIFE.. Damnit, because they changed from calling it LIFE, to calling it RAIFU. >_< But yeah, Last Friends is good so far. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head though.

EDIT: Apparently they changed the name because of me.. :lol Since I mentioned my friend got a warning letter for downloading it.~ Just wish I had known they changed it. Thought they were just taking forever to release more. Time to go finish LIFE.

I think. Manami turned from someone who seemed like they would be a three dimensional bully, to a caricature. It got to the point where nearly every scene would be followed by Manami peeking around the corner or hiding in the shadows.

Season 2 was announced, I swear.

And Last Friends -- a few members here recommended it to me as I'm a fan of LIFE, but I still haven't gotten round to watching it yet.

Try Mahiru no Tsuki. The first episode is really misleading, particularly if you're unaware of the gist of the story. Or as another poster mentioned Byakuyako. Both of them deal with really strong themes and they're both pretty disturbing (the latter moer than the former.)

More love for Kekkon Dekinai Otoko...

Just finished the episode where:

The main character is asked to take care of Ken (the dog)....What a great episode. One of my fav parts was when he was conducting the classical music, and he had another chair set up for the dog....What a great scene that was.

You got me interested in Mahiru no Tsuki... Too bad I can't find it anywhere. I saw groink had released them so I went to his page and found this

"GROINKCAPS NO LONGER ON D-ADDICTS

As of right now, I am no longer making available any of my fanworks to the Internet. I've removed all of my torrents from the D-Addicts tracker. With the passing of each year, the respect of people's wishes on the Internet are further disrespected and trampled, in order to satisfy his motive. Is it because he can't get his own material, therefore pass other content as his own? Is it to gain an advantage or edge on a given web site? Is it to make a profit? I don't support any of these reasons.

But one instance I've just today experienced is someone actually impersonating me on Veoh. The user "Groinkk" (note the extra "k") from The Netherlands is not me! It is obvious why he's doing this: to upload my fanworks to Veoh making everyone else think it is I who is doing the uploading. I can't comprehend why people do this sort of thing. There are some really messed up people on the Internet. And this Groinkk user is one of them.

It is too bad. I was in the process of sharing the following shows: Dare ni mo Ienai, Jinsei wa Jojo Da, Itsuka Mata Aeru, Aru Ai no Uta, Hi no Ataru Basho, Homemaker and Wataru Seken wa Oni Bakari (starting at season 5.) But the inconsiderate people do not think about the consequences their actions place on everyone else.

As for how people can get a hold of my works, please use this form to inquire about purchasing shows on DVD or other media."

K. I can understand why it's disrespectful but uh.. wtf is up with the drama community being so up tight? Honestly, there's NO way to avoid someone posting files up on the internet, so why ruin it for everyone else just because someone decided to post drama files up in other places? I've seen other jdrama groups threaten to stop subbing because of people posting their files up in other places but honestly, I don't understand it..? So can someone explain to me why it's a huge deal and makes them stop releasing things?

I've noticed that a lot of the people in the drama community are drama queens(pun not intended). I remember once when the nodame dorama was being subbed, and the subber threatened to stop subbing because some people were asking when the subs were going to be done and complaining about some things. The subber continued to sub after getting people to beg for him/her to continue and praising the great work they had done on the subbing.

Another thing that I don't like is that the translations are getting worse and you aren't even allowed to mention anything or the community jumps on you. Really bugs me how they translate some things that are not even close to what the real meaning should be. And there usually is just one group subbing a show and the community doesn't seem to like when another subber subs a show that is already being done. So it's not fun when a bad group picks up a show that I've been looking forward to and I then prefer to watch the show raw because some groups even get verb endings wrong so the whole meaning changes.

Drama community subbing is pretty terrible. It's actually of lower quality than anime fansubs as a whole, ignoring stupid trends the idiot anime fans follow. That's actually rather sad in a lot of regards.

Luckily I have a basic understanding when watching anime and drama just from so many years of watching stuff. So I pretty much understand most things so I can usually handle the below average fansubbing. I know with the drama community alot of times only one or two people are working on a series so I won't really fault them on the quality. I just don't understand quite enough to watch things completely raw so it's disappointing when they stop subbing for silly reasons. :( I do like having the seperate sub files in a lot of drama though, it's nice if I can just download a raw and use the sub file. Something I wish I could do with anime. :lol Afaik, only WeSuck had ever released sub files.

Well even if they are doing a bad job at subbing, the dialogue is still pretty funny..and I am entertained..

So in the end, as long as I am enjoying the show I don't mind.

Anyone keeping up on ROOKIES? Just watcehd episode 4, and they've still yet to play any Baseball! I can't believe i was worried that knowing nothing about baseball would dampen my enjoyment of this series!

She has one fine ass for an asian, for all I know. The drama was pretty good too.

Hmm.. My BF might not be as into it now. He likes baseball a lot which is why I thought he may enjoy this Jdrama. :lol

I am still really enjoying Rookies. I am a bit pissed that they took a while off to broadcast new episodes because of some real minor sports event or something (olym-something, fuck that!). Yeah, I am guessing in episode 5 there is baseball or something at least. I don't mind because delinquent drama is also awesome. Plus, Shinjo was playing Street Fighter 4. That is awesome.

Hotaru no Hikari

I'm watching this show on GAF recommendation. The main girl in this show is devastatingly adorable. I can't even take it.

I've seen quite over the past little while. My favourites are definitely Jyoou no Kyoushitsu (not your typical school drama), Liar Game and Nobuta wo Produce.
I've heard a few things about Jyoou no Kyoushitsu in the past, but never got around to checking it out. Is it difficult finding eps for it still?

Sad how a lot of these comedies don't get high viewer ratings in Japan.

If you want more of her, watch Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi. In that she played a thick country bumpkin like character.

That has just moved up on my list.

Well, it really makes me wonder: somebody declared she was like the female version of Densha Otoko. But, she's so pathetic, it's so innocent and cute. It makes me wonder if some women feel that way about Densha when they watched that show.

Huh? Last week was episode 9. Aren't there 2 more left?
Ep 10 is the final story episode, then there's an after-story type thing (I guess in the future like the first part of episode 1), and episode 12 is a compilation.

Ugh, seriously, if something bad doesn't happen to Sousuke, I'm going to flip out.
And I wonder who the death is going to be. After everything that happened in episode 9, it feels like it's going to be either Takeru or Ruka, but Takeru sometimes goes into what seems like narrating-from-the-future mode, and Ruka, well... I just don't know. Either would be horrible. :( :( :(

haha, I just got to the part in Hotaru with the aggressive gaijin. Americans rock face so hard!

I'm not there yet. I am only past episode 3.

Yuuka is a bitch! Strike hard, strike fast, no mercy, Ahomia!

This is a common thing in these shows. (I'm only through 4 eps, started 5) The friendly girl who is really a snakey-ass bitch.

Hotaru no Hikari was awesome. Only thing I didn't like too much was that it slowly became
Hotaru secretly in love with Takano and not Teshima. I didn't expect that to happen. Takano always seemed like sort of a father figure to Hotaru.
It wasn't exactly like a female Densha Otoko since she wasn't nearly as pathetic as Densha was. Takano was awesome throughout the series. He was like a slighter nicer version of Kuwano from Kekkon Denkinai Otoko, but still a cold bastard who was awesome.

Dragon Zakura was much better than I thought it would be. I was kinda worried it would just be a GTO clone but it stands on its own fairly well, and Abe is just awesome.

Digging Last Friends.

Love how they always cue that crazy stalker music everytime Sousuke appears somewhere. :lol

You got to love how unrealistic some of the beatings are.

He picks up a chair and beats her with it? wtf? I was laughing when I should have been feeling sorry for her.

I'm only to episode 3, but the moment that put me in tears almost (probably because I understood the Japanese [i'm watching the unsubbed version and can't understand most of it]), was when
the girl who get's abused comes to the door of the lesbo girl and says "save me". damn that was sad and very well acted.
