Unless they updated the emulator, I doubt 4k, but 60fps should be fine as these games targeted that in PS2.Anything less then 4k 60fps on pro will be disappointing.
Hmm, I wonder how they enhanced it. I have the ps3 collection still sitting sealed lol
Fantastic, I do love these games. I wonder if they'll have done anything extra with the first game?
I love the retro theme too.
Naughty Dog's three worst games (post 1995) all in the same week? What a treat...
You're crazy to say Jak X is a bad game.
right? y would they do this to you. who are they catering to? people that like the worst plaformers? (post 1995 of course)Naughty Dog's three worst games (post 1995) all in the same week? What a treat...

I agree that 2/3 are worse but only because of the open world nature like GTA. I hate having to travel between points to do missions. That said the platforming is just as good when you are playing.Spare me the subsersive rhetoric, they turned a great platformer into a grimy mechanical mess of a game targeted towards edgelords all because of GTA 3's massive success. The games have aged very poorly and are about as uninventive and derivative as it gets, gameplay wise. Ratchet and Sly games are still a joy to play today where as Jak 2 and 3 are completely pointless ventures unless you're revisiting them for nostalgic reasons.
Meanwhile, Jak X is completely pitiful compared to Crash Team Racing, the fact that it came out after Double Dash and Twisted Metal Black just makes it seem sad. If you want a fun combat driven racer for the PS2, Wacky Races and Looney Tunes Space Race are both significantly better games than Jak X and neither of them is anywhere near being great. The fact that both predate Jak X by 5 years is hilarious. If you want vehicular combat, Twisted Metal Black is several orders of magnitude better.
Don't crucify me but I've never played ANY of these? How do they compare to games in similar genres like Ratchet and Clank?
Do we know if they are enhanced/remastered at all?
I hope Sony improved the Emulator for PS4 PRO.

They're just getting the standard PS2 on PS4 treatment according to the PlayStation Blog.PS2 emulator update? At the end of the trailer it says the footage was captured on a PS4 Pro. The official images also say 4K on PS4 Pro.
Also...LeMatster said: said:Lack of infos 101. Pics says 4K on PS4 Pro... Are you upgrading the PS2 emulator? Is it emulated like the PS2 Classic Jak&Daxter released earlier? Will it supersample on a 1080p screen? Is the framerate now a fixed 60fps? How much for the bundle?

Jak X doesn't have online multiplayer.
I wonder if you could link up PS4 systems to play together, or even possibly link up a PS4 with a PS2.

These PS2 games are handled via backwards compatibility and they are improved over the original PS2 releases. This is why Sony won't bother for BC and BC that improves older games cause Sony fans are all to eager to throw money at Sony for stuff they already bought before
No, the price has been announced and listed here. For free if you bought them previously?

They're running on a PlayStation 2 emulator on a PlayStation 4. It's the very definition of "backwards compatibility".It's not BC if you need to buy it again.
Yes, it would be a nice time to jump in, but I guess that would be much easier if they were remastered instead. I guess that's the downside there. No online for Jak X means a pass for me.

Whether people are paying for these has nothing to do with the technicalities of how they work on the PlayStation 4.
Look, why must you always resort to calling people names when you're wrong about something? It doesn't strengthen what you're saying at all.Not BC, doesn't matter how Sony is doing it, if they are charging money for it if you bought the game before its not BC. But awesome job explaining how sony has emulation intact but would rather charge people then actually put real BC on their console.
Like I said you fools would rather keep throwing money at sony then demand they use their already existing emulator giving actual BC.

I'm more than happy to discuss backwards compatibility with you but until you actually understand the words that you're using there is little point in me trying to help you clear up your confusion on the matter that you raised.
So its ok to charge for BC now cause "Sony"
