Japan lines up for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and New 3DS!

Umm... Yeah? Or else I wouldn't be making that claim. They have the same elements, like gathering materials etc. But they play way differently. What you're saying is like saying every military shooter is a CoD clone when they aren't. These MH clone comments are annoying.

They are advertised under the kyoutou sensei project campaign, and they are fundamentally the same; co op hunting action game.

You can go ahead and call those military shooter a CoD clone. i wont stop you though.

Calling 'em clones help explains their fundamental gameplay faster and easier. Not sure how is that annoying

So does anyone know if the New 3DS XL fits with that Cyber Grip? I am most definitely getting a New 3DS XL when it's released, but I've gotten spoiled by the Cyber Grip of the Gods.

Do not exactly want to get the new 3DS XL until this is confirmed or there's a New 3DS XL version of the Cyber Grip released.

Very good question. I'm in the same boat and was curious about that as well, since this Grip is - hands down - the best one out there, sooo... I've studied the pictures of the New 3DS and it appears to me that old grip won't fit. I'm quite sure Cyber Gadget will release an updated version, though. I mean, they would be stupid if they woudn't cash in on the N3DS hype.

Line in front of my local store (Tokyo, 10 minutes from Ikebukuro):
This was at 10:10, the shop opened at 10. Everyone inside was getting MH4G and I was the only person there getting a n3DS.

Picked up my system at TSUTAYA and for what it's worth, there was one box with preordered systems and three boxes of the same size with preordered Monster Hunter 4G games. So yeah, it seems like there is no rush at all for the new system.

When a game comes out that defines a new genre (whether or not it is actually the first in the genre is not very important, it definitely has to be the most popular one to date, though), the other games in that genre that immediately follow it are often derisively termed "clones". I remember the same thing in the early 90s with Street Fighter 2 and the large number of fighting games that followed. After awhile, as the number of games in the genre increases and sufficient time passes after the definer's release, the "clone" talk dies down. It's all very silly, of course.

I prefer the term MH-wannabe.
