Good on them. I'm not a player of XI/XIV, but I was considering trying out my copy of XI some time. It's a time of rebuilding.

Yes it's bad and gamers MAY have consequences, but if you are explicitly blaming the lack of your ability to entertain yourself in a game on an unpredictable natural disaster that has been catastrophic, then you really, really need a reality check. Is this for both XI and XIV or just XIV? I was logged on to XIV when they sent out the first message, and it said "XI and XIV", but a few minutes ago when I read the last message, it only said "Servers for Final Fantasy XIV" which led me to believe it was only for XIV.
Either way, despite the fact that I am a somewhat active player of XIV and have lots of friends that play XI, I support their decision to shut down the servers temporarily. The energy used to power the servers can be used for better things right now.
