Japanese Game Shows are hilarious

I agree. I can't find a clip, but there was one that was fat guys vs. skinny guys, but they played entirely different games, including one where they put the fat guys on a flat platform that slowly started to angle itself. The idea was that the body surface you had sticking to it (I should add they were in swimsuits) the longer you would stay on. The person that stayed on longest won.

God I would love to see that.

there were some classics a few years ago but they were taken down for copyright. i wish i saved them.

I don't remember the name of the show, unfortunately.

Takashi's Castle was still the best, I think. I own multiple seasons of MXC. Just thinking about Teacup Math makes me laugh.

Person gets in giant teacup. Teacup starts spinning and sliding downhill. On a wall next to where it is sliding down, there is a math problem. So you're going downhill in a spinning teacup and have to solve math. Then you get dumped into a giant mound of powder.

This show called "Dero" is amazing

Gonna have to look these up.

Looks awesome!

Always enjoyed the human tetris game, whatever show that's on (or it's own show?). Also, Unbeatable Banzuke on the now-defunct G4. Sasuke, as well. I'm sure there's some comparable gems that I haven't discovered. The Gaki no Tsukai group gets a mention, as well.

Ninja Warrior was only one that I followed from start to end, too bad it's gone for good :( I check out occasionally some of the shows but many of them just get boring after couple of first episodes.

My favorite game show from Japan was Uchan Nanchan's Challenges of Fire. So hard to find on youtube when you don't know Japanese. Basically if you win a challenge, you get one million yen. The challenges are mostly absurd. There's also this One Million Yen Man that was basically godlike, expert swordman, expert stunt driver, expert ice skater. He defeated like bunch of national finalist/champions in their own field.

The rod challenge was made into N64 videogame.
