Japanese high school girl 'dismembers classmate'

I really wonder if she was a victim of japanese bullying. Ijime was it called IIRC.

A japanese colleague told me in Japan it can really destroy the psyche of people.
This... As someone living in Japan for over 5 years now, I can tell you, it really demands a lot of you to remain sane in this country.

this is a strange thing I always saw in Manga and Anime but never believe it was a real thing in Japan

this is the first time I read a real life version of it

Sounds like she was put away so her father could live with his new wife(first wife died Oct last year.) From what I've read she was apparently pretty disturbed much earlier though.

I lived there for three years and I loved every day of it. How old are you?

And this is gruesome.... Poor girl gets brutally murdered.... A horrible way to go

The suspect was the one that was living alone. Anime has way too many of these young female characters doing all kinds of violent acts.

I guess things like these caused violence in Japanese games to be moderated so heavily. RIP to the victim :(

Edit: What I posted about those pics and comments at 2ch are not true anymore.
It was a coincidence and random troll thread. http://www.buzznews.jp/?p=96953

For now her motive is that she just wants to dissect people. http://www.news24.jp/articles/2014/07/28/07256043.html

These info are not true, just random troll thread that coincided:

Apparently after she killed her friend, she posted some images and comments on 2chan:

Mostly pictures of her bloodied hand. If you don't like blood then it's NSFW, else, it's just pics of bloodied hand.

Here are some of her comments from 2chan that someone posted to reddit:
出血はそんなにしてない
どうしよう
There isn't too much blood. What do I do?

駄目だ拭いても拭いても血が溢れてくる
It's no use. No matter how much I wipe up the blood just keeps coming.

冷たくなったから温めた何で温かくならないの?
今ねお風呂入ってる
それより皆脳髄の色って何色だと思う?
It got cold so I heated it. Why won't it get warm?
It's in the bath now
Enough about that, what color do you think brains are?

脳髄や脊髄を培養液に漬けてずっと世話してあげるんだ
I'm going to put the brain and spinal cord in a jar of culture fluid and take care of them forever.

Not exactly what I wanted to read/see right now.

This is like...some of the gruesome anime shit right here!

Hmmm? Are you and adult or wut?

Is there adult bullying?

Yes, thank you.
It doesn't have anything to do with age or nationality though (well, maybe a little).
There are a million things than can make your experience delightful or terrible (like anywhere else), but Japan is particular.
I'm currently at a low in my relationship with this beautiful country so my opinion is indeed biased. But I know how Japanese society has a way of getting under peoples' skin and make them antisocial, depressed, etc.

I had a coworker, 22 years old (Japanese national, mind you), that once started yelling and punching her keyboard, just because. Counseling? No, fired.
Again, these are particular cases and there's no doubt that whoever committed this crime is a psychopath.

To end this rant on a positive note, I'll add that I'm still in love with the country, I'm staying, and I hope the family of the victim gets justice. Rest in peace.

A sick, sick, SICK human being. Those comments of her, holy shittttttttttttt. :/

These are things I could live without knowing.

I find that even the phrase "mental health" has a more negative connotation here than where I grew up (USA/Canada). Granted, there will sometimes be people who think "OMG psychopath" when you use the phrase elsewhere too, but it feels a lot more common here -- for "men-ta-ru ku-ri-niku" to be reserved for like, effing crazy people instead of regular human beings who need a little help. I've seen those problems get swept under the rug a bit more often than I'd like.

(7 years, here.)

3 years isn't enough time to start hating it.

I could see this. My time there was super short (cumulatively 2 weeks), and was enamored with the place, and certainly have a longer term goal of trying to live there at some point. The one thing everyone tells me, though, is that I wasn't away from home long enough to miss it. Thinking back a little on my short trips, I could easily see people not liking it, though. Lots of people don't like how "sterile" the place is, and you can just feel the societal pressure and discomfort that comes with it.

I just read that one of her hobbies is dissecting things and a few minutes later I read her motive for killing her friend was

"I wanted to kill a human and dissect it."

Really fucked up.

This is honestly the first thing I look for when I read these headlines. Not that being beaten and strangled to death is a pleasant way to go. :(

It actually is a (possibly) worse way to go. I'd rather get my head chopped of by a sword than being beaten and strangled to death.

also those pictures are horrible :( Even though you only see hands covered in blood.

I guess I always imagine it with a blunt hacksaw so it would be extremely slow and painful.

I live in Finland and I know several people who lived alone when they were 15 because they went to school far from home or something like that.

It's not that obscure.

Yeah somehow I don't think a 15-year old schoolgirl is going to have the strength and the sharp implement that would make beheading a pleasure by comparison.

I'm surprised 15 year olds can live by themselves in Japan. I thought that was just some made up anime bullshit.

Anyway, that is really really fucked up. My heart goes out to the victim's family.

That is horrifying :(
If I recalled correctly, the girl in the picture is just a, well crudely said, a cosplay. That's not the real photo of the kid who's involved in the Sasebo slashing.
Some people really love to choose the most fucked up things to cosplay.

It sounds like a bunch keyboard warriors to me. I guarantee that these idiots that posted such disgusting comments will NOT be like that if they was actually there. F'king cowards if it wasn't a hoax. Hiding behind your computer monitor can only get you "so far" until you are caught like the many other idiots that do and try to advocate such unacceptable behavior. Ugh.

I just turn on the TV here in Japan and they are covering this incident heavily. Everyone I know is in shock.
