This... As someone living in Japan for over 5 years now, I can tell you, it really demands a lot of you to remain sane in this country.

Agreed. Though I am not sure if I would call myself completely sane anymore. And I've been here just 1 year haha

Man, that's fucked up.

Also wondering about that whole fifteen year old living separately from her family thing. Granted, the family situation seems to be... special. Still, doesn't sound healthy.

Anyway... Fifteen. Smacking someone on the head, then beheading them. Cripes. How... Why... It just doesn't compute.

What I've heard about her family situation:

Mother died a few years ago, father remarried
she was supposed to go to australia as an exchange student this or next year, her father let her live alone for a couple of months as practice for living abroad.
she has only attended school three days since april this year.

also, I've been told that a few years ago she got caught putting chemicals(edit: bleach) in her peers lunch/food. Since then she's been "on the radar", in counseling and so on.

Not sure why the chemicals thing made me shudder more than anything else, but...this whole thing is terrible. What happened to make her so fucked up in the head? Is it a textbook psychopath thing? I'm not expecting a concrete answer at all, but I still can't help but ask that question...
