Mike and Mike is about the only enjoyment I get out of ESPN these days. I loved the Olberman and Patrick duo back when I was around 10, would watch them every morning, but Patrick turned into a huge douche in his later years as well. :lol

I like Woody Paige, but Tim Cowlishaw is the best on the show.

EDIT: Well, Tony Reali is the best thing on the show.

ESPN is a joke. I hate the TV station, I hate ESPN Radio. Mariotti is a douche just like the vast majority of the guys on the station. I hate when ESPN radio takes over the local station (KNBR, not really local because it covers practically all of the CA, and I've got it as far away as parts of NV and and OR at times) for late night programming.

Best sportstalk personality is far and away Tom Tolbert. Holy shit is he funny and he knows his stuff. Sucks that he doesn't do basketball on TNT anymore. His show on KNBR is fantastic and it is a shame he doesn't do a national show.

Lack of Stuart Scott makes this list a failure.

BOOYAH.

I have to remember not to tune in during the pregame and turn the channel at halftime of nba games because of this idiot. Most of ESPN's douchebags are easy to ignore, he's not.

Too bad it wasn't Michael Smith, that guy is easily one of the biggest douches at ESPN.

Nah Mariotti takes the cake, I have a hard time watching the show because of this dude. And the chick is horrible too.

Also, this thread lacks sufficient hatred for Bob Ryan. Everytime this guy talks I feel like I have to wipe his spit off my face.

The fuck?

I love PTI everytime him and this Miami dude take over for Tony and the other dude (god I think I have altzheimers already)

and just a few weeks ago he was ranting about how evil Rick Pitino is and how he should be fired for the false rape accusation, karma

he really did. like you said i liked him back in the day. i havent had cable for most of the 2000s. while i do have it now and am a big sports fan i dont watch espn much. i will for games but not sportscenter and that junk. im a big pti fan but i usually podcast it to miss about 5 minutes of commercials. most of the espn people i like are more radio heavy. i podcast tony kornheiser's radio show everyday. also i dont check for them but when i hear them on the radio i like doug gottlieb and ryen russillo. back in the day i also liked dick schaap and his show the sports reporters

CHARGED

Los Angeles city prosecutors have charged AOL Fanhouse sports columnist Jay Mariotti, a regular panelist on ESPN's Around The Horn, with seven misdemeanors in connection with a domestic disturbance last month involving his girlfriend, officials said Monday.

Charges include two counts of domestic violence with injury, two counts of domestic violence, one count of grand theft, one count of false imprisonment and one count of vandalism.

Mariotti is to be arraigned Friday at the downtown Los Angeles criminal courts building.

Mariotti originally was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic assault. He was released from jail on $50,000 bail. But the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said there was not enough evidence to charge him with a felony.

In the past, he wrote a sports column for the Denver Post and the Chicago Sun-Times.
