Jeb! out from Republican race *horn*

I honestly feel bad for Jeb. All those expectations riding on him, not least those of his own family, and he comes off looking like an awkward dunce, a laughing stock on the national stage. Fodder for Trump of all people, fancy that. He must feel like a colossal failure. It's got to be personally devastating.

That said, the fact that he's in no danger of starving to death anytime soon somewhat tempers my sympathy. He has advantages most of the rest of his miserable peers can only dream of, to say nothing of the chuckleheads he was courting, who can now look forward to choosing between a bucket or a trough for their turd buffet in the general.

The Republicans are gonna be scary as hell when the general comes. After an entire primary of the dirtiest candidates excelling and the sting of their establishment option going up in flames, they will fight tooth and nail.

They're actually kind of in an even weirder bind now, because after primaries play to the fringe, the general needs to be more appealing to the middle. Jeb! would probably have been alright in a general if he had shown any energy or effort at all in the primary.

Jeb! Tried with #Maximumeffort.

He's just not any good. Tried to step his game up numerous times.

Great song choice there in the middle. Was in hysterics as soon as that started up.

Neon Genesis Evangelion? Holy shit, I was honestly not expecting that! Beautiful reference, since I was laughing hard too. Tumbling down is practically his entire campaign from the beginning.

I don't. Fuck him and his entire bloodline, past present and future.
Yeah, but still...

Don't you kind of want to hand him a glass of warm milk or something?

I'm really happy Papa Bush has lived long enough to see his family name mocked and destroyed. I just wish that it didn't take one of his dumbass sons ruining the country and an entire region to sink their legacy.

You don't fully appreciate how smooth and confident Obama is until you see someone as stiff and awkward as Jeb! lol.

Also Marco Rubio is trying so hard to imitate Obama's style, but he was nearly sunk by one fatal difference between them: Obama excels under pressure, Rubio collapses.

I feel bad for him, too. I'm not a Republican but I don't really like it when people forget they are talking about a real person. He had hopes and dreams and they came to a close today. Imagine being judged by what your family does/has done. Imagine having to drop out after your dad and brother won. I can't imagine my reputation being based on my 7 siblings.

Not to mention, Trump is still winning. Nobody should celebrate this, as Trump does not have the skills to be President. He doea not know how to compromise and that scares me. We should all be thinking about what would happen if the Republicans win. The best candidate needs to win and that is what I think people should focus on.

Have to feel for Jeb!, a colossal failure that ended in his reputation being flushed down the crapper along with $150 million. Meanwhile, Trump laughs his way to the nomination.

By Christie no less. The dude would fold like a chair in the general.

Would he? Obama would destroy him, but Sanders and Hillary aren't exactly known for being charismatic.

So why is he dropping after the third (?) primary though? Aren't there a lot more to come? Like, 47 more?

Then why is that weird doctor still in it?

Because he was never in it to win. He's in it for free publicity and money. His campaign is entirely based around him bilking evangelicals and increasing his speakers fees after the primary. He'll stay in as long as he can because he doesn't care about winning.

This is true, but it's not just Carson himself or any of the other no-chance candidates benefiting. They're all being propped up by the election industry of private pollsters, campaign advisers, etc. The more candidates run, the more of them that get to line up at the trough.
