Hello Allison, I wanna hold your hand
I haven't been the same man since I saw you coming in
Let's have a toast for the girl in Aisle 10
This game kicks so much ass. I played it on the 360 but thinking about replaying it on Xbox Original now I got component cables since certain areas on the Xbox 360 version hit 10fps or less. After playing the original on Dreamcast I was so disappointed by how slow it felt compared to the sequel.
Yeah, they need to bring back the old franchises like Crazy Taxi, JSRF, Panzer Dragoon, and Outrun. I could name many more, but these are my favorites... Sega used to be like Nintendo in the way they released great games in every genre. Now we're lucky to get a great game in general out of them.
This already happened in the most Monkey Paw esque fashion

I'll concede that Birthday Cake brings down the soundtrack as a whole, but aside from that single blemish JSRF's soundtrack is better than JSR's soundtrack (which was still very good).

Yeah, I hated the song too. But eventually it became a favorite. That whole soundtrack blends to fucking well I want to go play it right now.Simply my favorite game, ever. Nothing else plays like it...except the original game.
Absolutely not. That song is one of the soundtrack's highlights. When I first played JSRF I thought it was terrible, but it slowly grew on me. Now it's one of my favorite tracks.

Criminally overlooked. Sega need to get their act together and make a sequel to Jet Set Radio Future asap.
... Oh, I forgot that SEGA only cares about f2p games now
Does Smilebit still exist?
Jet Set Radio is overall a worse game. I mean, I hold it dear as any Dreamcast fan would, but the sequel just fixed it. Some complain about the streamlined spraying, but I find it better in this one.
Peoples' main complaint always seems to be that it's "easier" and so they don't like it, but I would contest that when a game controls as poorly as JSR did making it easier to play isn't exactly a fault.
Something about JSRF makes it feel really empty.
Someone who's opinion I respect described it as "playing a level in Doom where you've killed every enemy and are just running around the empty map looking for that last key."
I think that's an almost perfect description of how this game makes you feel.
Oh no! You got caught by the police! You will be released in 48 hours. Bail yourself out for $9.99?
As someone who loved JSRF and considers it one of his favourite games of all time, I didn't play the original until the HD treatment and I feel like playing it in that order did it no favours. More restrictive gameplay, worse controls, it doesn't hold a candle to Future in my eyes.
I still have mine packed up somewhere but no xbox to play it. I absolutely loved this game, why the dreamcast version got the hd treatment and not this....I'll never know.I still have my og disc from the JSRF/Sega GT 2002 Xbox bundle that came out forever ago.
One of the first games I ever played to be honest and I'll never forget it.
Jet Grind Radio was one of my favorite console experiences in years on the Dreamcast. I specifically bought an XBox 1 at launch because I knew JSRF would be exclusive.
I was pretty damn let down when I actually played it. Doesn't come close to being as good as the original.
Please let's not make this a JSRF vs JSR thing. They're very different games.
As long as no one tries to pull the hokey as hell "JSR has bad controls and barely anyone getting the steam achievement for the skippable tutorial mode buried away in a menu proves it!!!" argument like in past threads it should be alright
Fuck you! Cibo Matto is amazing.
WHOA WHOA WHOA
Sure, Birthday Cake literally sounds worse than nails on a chalkboard the first time you hear it, but it gets better with every listen, eventually becoming amazing.

The Official Bad Gamers Support Group thread.
I love JSR, but getting a 50 combo in that level is not exactly the easiest thing to do in the game...
It's a tragedy that it didn't get the HD treatment, since it runs like shit emulated on 360, and it's too much trouble to wip out the OG Xbox.
a completely optional thing that i imagine most skip shouldnt be the barometer if the controls are good is my point
its a hacky argument
