Not really. I blame these hand-holdy linear auto platforming - "interactive" cinematics where you just hold up while explosions and shit happen around you.
These games are so routine and by-the numbers where people are jizzing their pants over non-gaming stuff like close ups of someones face and "story is awesome" = Game of the Year. I can see someone ask themselves "why would I pay $60 when I practically can see the game mechanics play out with my eyes anyway."
