did anyone else pick this up/check it out?
*raises hand*

Just finished viewing it actually, and the only downside to it that I can see is that there may never be a follow-up. 'Trapped In Time' felt like the first of a series (especially with that ending), but it was also very accessible, straightforward and had moments that made me smile or laugh out loud (SPOILER:
the Superbaby hot potato scene had me rolling, as did "Solomon Grundy thanks you from the bottom of his inky black soul"
). Obviously this is targeting a different audience than DC/WB's other DTV offerings, but that's not a knock against it in my book as those things have turned into something... ugly.

I'd say more, but Chris Sims pretty much said it all already in his review.

‘JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time’ Is Exactly What DC’s Animated Movies Should Be (Comics Alliance)

Might watch it again later too, since it's so short.

This was good.
Like really good.
Surprised how much I enjoyed it

How does this compare with Justice League War? I watched that last night and I wasn't too impressed with it to be honest. It felt to me like it couldn't decide if it was going to be an origin story or not.

What is up with Cheetah's huge bug eyes? And is Lex evil or just Asian?

Sleeveless Aquaman is a must now. And Wonder Woman's design is superb. Bright red boots and more gold again!

No plans to watch War, but I imagine the two could not be more different. This one presumes a base familiarity with most of the characters but doesn't require a great deal of insight from the viewer to enjoy or understand the proceedings.

Out of all of the design changes, Cheetah's is the one that threw me the most. Her costume was fine, and reminiscent of outfits she's worn before, but her face could've used less exaggeration.

Well, it is an origin story for the team

It was an odd choice since its a sequel to... yeah nevermind

Either way, I thought Trapped in Time was a much better film. I think the final fight in War is better, but Trapped in Time is better paced and has a better sense of tone and humor to it.

Yeah see that's what my problem was with War, it couldn't decide what kind of movie it wanted to be. If they wanted it to be an origin story, I think a little more background or expanded scenes to let the viewer know "Hey, ever wondered how the Justice League got together? Well here it is!" would have been nice.

If it's supposed to be a sequel what is it a sequel to, Flashpoint Paradox? From what I've gathered at the end of Flashpoint Paradox
the timeline has been changed to the DCNu universe but the Justice League has long been established.
I think a little more dialogue or expanded scenes would have helped War become a much better movie.

I am looking forward to watching Trapped in Time based on early reactions here.

It would have worked better if they had established an universe before Flashpoint Paradox because this is resetting the stage for their new universe, but we've had 6 Justice League films now... don't think needed an origin... and not quite sure why its an origin to the audience.

No, according to Giancarlo Volpe's head-canon, this takes place in the same universe as the CGI Green Lantern animated series, during the events of the season / series finale.

Just watched this a bit ago. The story was more of throwback to 80's logic and cartoons like the Superfriends, w/ some nice adventure elements and surprisingly well done action sequences. The budget is pretty well hidden, and the two main characters are handled really well. Its a fun show, and although there were spacing/ framing issues, and certainly if you are stickler for plot stuff then stay away, but it would be great to have this in my childhood history as I show I grew up watching. The ending makes me wish there was more. good stuff.

What, you can't be serious? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard... Talk about unnecessarily convoluted.

How is it convoluted? GL was billions of miles away in space, which explains his absence. Not that it matters, as knowledge of that neither hinders nor helps this movie. It's just a random bit of trivia.

It's convoluted because I have no knowledge of that show and had no indication it was part of this JL "universe" but as you say it has no bearing, it just seems a bit pointless. I might need to rewatch War in case I missed anything important, after I somehow get my hands on Trapped in Time.

Well, he wanted to tie his show into his movie.

And really only ties it in that it takes place in the same "universe" but really nothing.. at the same time

The heck are you guys talking about? I never once found myself asking "wait, where's Green Lantern?" while watching this. I don't think anyone would ask, either, except maybe GL fans predisposed to wondering why he's not in it.

That's kind of the point of what we're saying, Spike: It really doesn't matter.

I don't know, you guys. Not sure if this is good. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for a Brave and the Bold treatment of the whole Justice League.

No need to apologize.
It isn't for everyone.
There's people who hate Brave and the Bold for similar reasons.
I think they lack a soul, but you'll find yours some day!

Was this show any good?
Think saw like one or two episodes, but never pursued the show more than that.

Yes, I enjoyed it. Looking back It had a Teen Titans meets YJ vibe to it. 2nd season was fun w/ a time jump and some added grit. I enjoyed it for its fun action sequences good mix of light and dark elements. Also nice to see heroes other than the Justice League in a show.

I do not believe there is currently a legal way to watch season 2...

Here are two more, I actually like the style

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA

This was pretty bad. Not even up to the quality of the JL shows. The JL War movie was better and had its moments but just average overall.

I'm giving it another go. So far it plays better on a weekday morning than it did on a weekday evening. *shrug*

EDIT: I guess Toyman is literally a toy? Doesn't need a suit in space. Batman's voice is the Brave and Bold guy but it sounds weird among the ensemble. But wow there is some loving detail to some of this animation. Truly a mixed bag.

Yeah this was good fun. Definitely worth watching, I judged it too quick earlier.

Fairly good mix of cheesy fun and nicely animated action. Most of the cheese is front-loaded and it gets a bit more even as it goes. Time Trapper scary, damn!

Definitely some SuperFriends love in the piece, keep your eyes open for a Wendy, Marvin, and Wonderdog cameo:

There's also some SuperFriends shorts as extras. This could be a fun series moving forward, and it certainly stands a better chance coming out on DVD than it does getting on the air through Cartoon Network.

Finally got to this. Could feel the budget a bit, but hey, it was more Justice League, and after Flashpoint I don't mind them stepping back a bit on violence. (Even though it worked very effectively there.)

Also, I know it was for effect, but it annoyed me that
they didn't actually stick around in the future to figure out what went wrong
. Also, who remembers what? Pretty sure Lex
openly told several of the villains who stayed behind who Superman's parents were.

But it was a cute cartoon. Flash felt a little dumb in it, and Robin was bratty, but in a snicker-worthy way. Wasn't a big fan of Brave and the Bold, but sadly that's one of the better Batman voices we've had in a DC animated work lately.

They really should look into making this a full series. It has real potential.
CN would kill it.
DC should look into an alternative to CN though. (obviously CN is the only cartoon channel DC stuff could air on, but maybe they could make a deal with Netflix or something)

I feel like something like this, which is more episodic and lighthearted, could have a space on CN and be a nice companion piece to TT Go under the current Cartoon Network. It'd be worth perusing, at least.

Twenty minutes in, this movie still has no redeeming quality to show. Generic Karate Kid who studies all martial arts... more like Captain idiot. hihihi

Edit: Minute thirty:
The Superbaby stealing
scene must have been the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a DC movie, but maybe, just maybe it's believable due to Solomon Grundy.

Edit 2: "Time Traveler, Time is Up!" -_-
