I don't know how Marvel casting does it. With the exception of some of their villains, their casting is so spot-on. I don't know how many times I've seen a Marvel casting press release and realize the actor they chose was almost perfect for the part. Josh Brolin with Thanos, James Spader's voice for Ultron, Chris Evans for Captain America, Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther, etc. Hell, I didn't even think about Jason Statham for Bullseye till his name popped up, and even then it sounds like an awesome choice for the part.

Anywas the Defenders is a team up show. Which will come after Netflix is done with the set seasons for each character in the group.

The great thing about this is that if Netflix had just released a Punisher series it might do well-but there have been 3 subpar movies with that brand. By introducing the character on Netflix's biggest show first, they are assuring that they knock it out the park and make viewers of Daredevil familiar with this guy so that his spinoff will be huge.
