we aren't in the audition room , try and find a casting directors blog

I know Edgar Wright has gushed about him but he could be amazing but not fully live up to his potential, you know? I need to see more before I can blindly say he is great in everything.

He actually replied to me in a tweet and said "Star Wars." But we haven't seen that yet :P

I'm curious to see who they will get to write/direct it.

I heard a podcast with Reginald Hudlin recently. He developed the Black Panther TV show for BET after writing the 'Who Is The Black Panther' comic arc (John Romita Jr was the artist). He's also directed a number of movies and he produced Django Unchained. Very smart and interesting guy.

Here's an interview where he talks about the character:

I never knew about Wakanda or Black Panther before I played him as a started in Marvel Heroes. He's such a badass. I found a comic page online where an enemy comes to him and says " I trained all my life for this day, I will kill you "

and Black Panther says " for this, you already lost, as I trained all my life for the unknown "

I'm down with Boyega, but was hoping for Ejiofor.

Boyega makes most sense, though. Young, will sign up for a long contract, already in the disney/marvel/lucas film tent, and once Star Wars blows up people will know who he is.
