Doesn't really change that this is a rather shitty reaction by him, even if he couldn't actually act on itI seriously doubt that he can.
Sony can't make games PS+ randomly. It's a deal reached with the publisher.Reading his conversations on this tweets made me think about his current game.
Does he end up hating Sony when he realizes they are giving his game away for free on ps+ years after he forgot to read his contract.
This is probably the mildest Twitter flub I've seen here in awhile, and yet people are calling for his head. I'm guessing that people just don't like his anti MS agenda, but I really can't blame him for that.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking him to task for posting something so dumb. This "Leave Jonathan alone!" stuff is pretty silly. No one's calling for him to be imprisoned here, it's just a particularly stupid mistake that deserves a negative reaction.
That's just ignorance, he didn't know because presumably he didn't care all that much, and it's been so long that he'd forgotten. It doesn't seem like there was any contract secrets here, just forgetfulness.I would agree. I also am assuming this guy hears what he wants to hear/remember and is naive to contracts with other companies.
What makes you think he didn't know what his XBL game pricing was.
He had a pouty Twitter temper tantrum with some limp wristed threats and now we several posts talking about how he's an idiot who deserves to have his games boycotted. All that pent up JB hate had to come from somewhere, and it wasn't from the tweets in the OP.Doesn't really change that this is a rather shitty reaction by him, even if he couldn't actually act on it
The thread that keeps on giving.Funny thing is he wanted to release Braid for 800 points and Microsoft set it up to 1200 points which made him unhappy.

lol exactly. it's as if they've been waiting for this kind of thread. the dude made a mistake, recognised it, and corrected himself all within an hour. some peeps act like blow has to grovel and ask for forgiveness. He had a pouty Twitter tantrum with some limp wristed threats and now we several posts talking about how he's an idiot who deserves to have his games boycotted. ....Has anyone in the spotlight ever helped themselves by going on twitter?
You even want to take that away from Phil Fish, when will the cyber-bulling cease.hes like the gaming sections Shia Lebeouf..

Typical indie dev ranting aimlessly. I think it's safe to say that if it works out that you just know the name of an indie dev without having looked it up, they probably have or about to say/do something completely moronic.
Anyways, I like how his reaction to them putting his game on sale is that he pulls it and makes it like Steam only. Funny on two fronts because now instead of simply less money per unit on XBLA he wants $0 and he's decided to take it to Steam, a platform not at all known for offering sales and steep discounts, right? Peace out homie. You will not be missed.
what does this have to do about the fact that blow ran to twitter to complain about something that happened two years ago with his consent
....Has anyone in the spotlight ever helped themselves by going on twitter?
Hey look a human made a mistake, lets rake his ass over the coals because we're bored instead of showing a bit of empathy!
:lolThread made me go read blow's twitter, thought this was pretty funny from a couple hours ago:

But...at least in this case, Microsoft didn't do anything wrong. Braid has been 800 points for a couple of years. There was no recent price change. And when the price changed a couple of years ago, he agreed to it.People are being condescending towards Blow because they don't like him as a person and this undermines the negativity of Microsoft's actions.
What I said wasn't in defence of Blow as much as it was a criticism of Microsoft's wrongdoings.

Why does this make you want to buy his games less? The developer says something you don't like and now you don't want his game anymore. I just don't get it.
Communicating with people who have been through media training is boring. The interesting thing about Twitter is we can communicate directly to public figures without going through PR middlemen. Encouraging people to resign themselves to silence when they goof constricts our access to them.
I completely missed this- absolutely hilarious
Owe is a strong word, and Braid certainly made him wealthy, but it did have a notable impact on the 360's public perception, it was the beginning of the modern indie focused XBLA. They don't owe him, of course, but it does seem extremely strange they wouldn't have courted The Witness as early as possible.
Yea this guys all over the place. Would make it $10 if it wasn't for Ms. Taking my game down if it's not still $15.
There are a small handful of game developers who are both in the spotlight and willing to speak their minds. They may make more mistakes than the media trained, but my God people would mourn them if they disappeared altogether.
He's unprofessional, and spiteful. It's not an either/or situation to expect him to treat others with respect while also making games. This behavior deserves contempt.

I don't think he was so anti-MS until The Witness was announced for PS4, it think he felt like Braid was important, he was making a high profile indie game, MS were making a new console, and they should approached him about it. That's not unreasonable to me. Kojima was publicly pissed off that Sony hadn't buttered him up more with PS4. I think people have expectations based on previous professional relationships, and since Braid was important to XBLA, it's reasonable to imagine MS would be interested in The Witness.Say what you want about MS, but they're normally fairly professional (Adam Orth: exception). If Blow came at their executives with a bunch of nonsense and acted like a primadonna, they probably told him to kick rocks. And after all the noise he's been making against MS, I wouldn't court a damn thing he did if I were them.
But then again, they're not stupid, and if they see an opportunity to make money out of the deal, they probably would.
I still haven't played Braid. Worth it on Steam?
The problem with digital venting: It goes to everyone.
Sometime ago this whole digital social service was considered dangerous and stupid. I mean, real names attached to real people.
"Makes more money on Steam".. ouch Microsoft.![]()
I always picture this when I hear anything about him.
