I think it's safe to say Cena can overcome pretty much any number, but can he overcome himself? we'll probably find out when WWE reach the bottom of the barrel and begin the fake/imposter Cena storyline, because the way to get more viewers is clearly more Cena.

Split screen with Cena going for the emmy playing himself and his own evil clone! Made from the same plastic surgery the Million Dollar Man used to make an evil referee to screw Hogan from the belt years ago, only Cena can overcome these odds, BUT WHICH CENA? AND WHICH ODDS????

Good lord, I forgot about Darren Young and he is apparently in the final 3 of NXT! he's almost back to make my nightmare a reality. That Nexus storyline sure worked out well for him...

MitB 2011 got me hyped more than WM27 did.

Will this be the end of the PG era ?

PG isn't going to end, it might be borderline PG/TV-14 content, but I think...actually I hope more so that the WWE finally realized they can have an edgier product while still keeping it PG.

I like him as a sadistic freak. Need more of that.
Sadly sadistic Kane is only available when he's hovering around the main event or upper mid card, anywhere else and he becomes jobber Kane because as we all know the mid card can't have any special treatment or gimmicks, he probably has to bring a bag full of red lightbulbs and a cassette player with his music so he can make those brief backstage segments he sometimes gets more Kane like.

if Vince fails to resign with Punk by Sunday, does anyone see this as a huge opportunity for TNA? Would they sign Punk and let him do whatever he wants?

Punk would not touch TNA.
They screwed him when he was in ROH, and they are a complete travesty and mockery of what Punk wants.

This is true, but sad at the same time. If TNA were more of a player, it would have made things more interesting. I think we all know that if he really is leaving WWE he will go back to ROH.

ZERO1 INTERNATIONAL JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH;

06. Ikuto Hidaka (c) vs Takuya Sugawara

Good show, I liked the heavyweight tag battle and I'm really enjoying Daichi Hashimoto's trial series. This time he faces Masaaki Mochizuki from Dragon Gate. Meanwhile, Ikuto Hidaka defends the International Jr. Heavyweight title against Takuya Sugawara in a good main event.

Ruh-roh.

For some reason MitB PPV isn't purchasable online in the UK? I don't want to lamp it, damnit.
Iirc you can just say you are from the USA or something. You'd probably just be better off subbing to Sky Player though for a month if you don't want to lamp, considering WWE's prices are so high (I think).

Will Sky viewers even count for PPV buys? Its being shown free for Sky viewers. I just want to give WWE my monies.

I already coughed up for Extreme Rules and WrestleMania. Over The Limit was free and I straight up didn't bother with Capitol Punishment.

I don't think the folks in the US can watch it via sky player.

WAit MITB is free on Sky I thought it was a Sky Box Office event?

Free on Sky Sports 1. Sky have been advertising it as such since the night of Punk "speech." It has been running on the banner on Sky Sports News too. They seem to be pushing it heavily (or at least more than usual).

They are also updating the WWE section of the website more ofton than usually too. There are three Punk stores on there, when they usually have one "Please watch PPV" story going.

You do realise what this means no twists. Anything with a twist WWE-wise is usually a pid event, non-events are usually free.

Are you nuts?

Sky have nothing to do with the quality of PPV events. WWE and Sky signed contracts ages ago to determine what PPVs appear on which stations - long before any angels are ever thought up.

Nope all the 'free' PPV's after WM20 have been usually very predictable. I know that contracts wise it was deceided that there is around 4 free events but that to my knowledge is up to wwe to deceide.

Your logic is failing. Sky have aired shittly booked PPVs, and charged for them, yet aired ones with better cards for free. The reason this happens, is because all deals are done long before the content of the PPV is known. Even if you believe the free PPVs were predictable, that did not happened solely because the PPV was free. The content of the free PPVs were not finalized when Sky and WWE signed the contracts.

Your statement of "you do realise what this means no twists," backed up by your own flawed logic is borderline idiotic

What does a normal WWE PPV cost on Sky UK? On Sky Germany they're €15 and timezone wise the UK is compareable. But then again I think the whole concept of PPV is much more accepted in the UK while in Germany it hasn't really succeeded.

I read something about only the "big four" PPVs being on sky box office, with the rest usually being free, but like Keyser says, it doesn't and shouldn't impact the quality of a PPV. WM27 was not free and it was hot garbage.

I think 15 squids.

I've watched this year's WrestleMania three times and, really, it wasn't all that bad. A bit of a damp squib, granted, but not appalling.

€21 Euro, then it airs for a whole week, and you can watch it any time you feel like it. Well, unless Tim White decided to shoot himself off camera - then they will have to edit that shit out cause it was so dumb.

What would the predictable outcome of MITB be anyway? Cena going over clean and that's that? No one really expects that, most would be surprised (and pissed). I think the most likely scenario people have been talking about is Punk winning and Del Rio/whoever cashing in, and that's not even easy money. In any case it will be eventful.

With what they have set set up. Punk wining, but getting beat via MitB cash in would be the most predictable IMO

Cena winning outright, would be just anger inducing - and kills any hype of the past three weeks st up.

Punk winning, then running out of the arena, jumping in Colt Cabana's car, and shouting "SEE YOU AT RING OF HONOR" would be unpreditcable - (even though I just predicted it).

There has been a lot of eyebrows raised the past few weeks thanks to CM Punk. If he loses cleanly to Cena a lot of fans might just walk away.

All I know is I'm not going to watch RAW because I really can't stomach a Del Rio/Cena feud. It'd be such a massive downgrade to what we've gotten the past 3 weeks... :(

RAW should be replaced with a new reality show called CM Punk: My Adventures with the WWE Championship for the four weeks before Summerslam.

If I was Vince, I'd walk right down that aisle, and say to you "YOUUUUUUU'RE HIIIIIIIRED!"

I think the people saying that this could be the beginning of a new era in WWE or whatever are kind of crazy. One of the things that made Raw must-see TV during the attitude era was that the undercard was actually interesting too. If they can make people care about the midcard and even the lower card guys the way they could in the attitude era, then we'll talk. But as-is, nobody gives a shit.

As long as it has wacky hijinx like CM Punk going for a round of golf and half way through Vince and Cena appear in a golf cart trying to retrieve the WWE title with bumbling schemes.

I found this tidbit pretty interesting. So WWE is running Summerslam Axxess this year. The VIP package includes a meet and greet with the top tier in the company. It cost $70 (too much imho) but i go to the page and oh look

VIP SCHEDULE:
Saturday, August 13:
• Meet WWE Superstar The Miz from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Meet WWE Superstar Triple H from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - SOLD OUT
• Meet WWE Superstar Randy Orton from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - SOLD OUT
• Meet WWE Superstar John Cena from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - SOLD OUT

Sunday, August 14:
• Meet WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Meet WWE Superstar Edge from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Now this adds to the "top three" theory of a few pages ago.

Del Rio is the absolute most annoying, worst character gimmick they've tried to push toward the top in a long time.

I dvr RAW. And now everytime I see Del Rio I hit >>> as fast as a can.

anyone see this on curt's twitter? lmao

Problem being is that they have not progressed his character passed "It's my destiny" bit. Coming out to fancy characters establishes that he's rich .. but that's about it. We know it's his destiny yet he didn't win at Wrestlemania and he despite winning the #1 contendership, still has to battle in MiTB. What hurt his character the most imho is not winning the title at Wrestlemania and fulfilling his destiny. Especially in hindsight with Edge retiring. Now, I like the fact that edge retired a champion .. don't get me wrong. However, you typically don't see that in the E.
