John Cena's just a franchise and the closest thing to what Hulk was in the 80s. Kids deck themselves out in Cenation merchandise and when they go to a show, they want to see him win via Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. I don't think it's that much different from, I dunno, going to a James Bond movie. You know he's always going to come out Onatopp so you just turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.

I wounder if they will crap it up now and just book Punk as a straight heel now or will they try keep the anti establishment, lose canon "you dont know what he will say next" thing going.

How will Punk justify returning after just a week off?

Will I be able to buy a CM Punk Collectors Cup from WWEshop.com?

how will wwe.coms WWE championship archive handle having 2 champs at 1 time?

What does Colt Cabana think of all of this?

I WANT ANSWERS?!

Just wait till next week! Will Punk resign or re-sign? Will people ever stop getting confused over the two words? Will WrestleGAF ever be happy?

Edit: That's pretty cool @ Bootaaay's video.

For the moment they're only acknowledging Cena as the current champ (despite holding a much shittier replica belt) and the historic records make it seem like Punk relinquished the title after leaving the company despite returning well within any non-compete clause window.

That's the entire point of the feud. All the matches have been competitive and back and forth. It's not like he's burying Christian. Tommy Dreamer never beat Raven either and it still was a great feud.
CM Punk never once went over Orton in ther recent battles and that feud, like this one, is completely one sided. It didn't help out Punk after the feud, and this won't help Christian. Fact is both guys have the charisma to build themselves back up after getting squashed each and every match they participated in with Orton. I suppose we can't wait for the great feuds, 4-star matches we'll see from Orton when he starts fighting Henry.

Also watched that CM Punk-Jimmy Kimmel thing, really cool. How fuckin' sad was it that kid got the booking down pat. :lol

AJ Styles will tag team with Kazarian against Gunner and Joker Sting. He'll get pinned by Gunner after interference by Abyss. He'll then run to Hulk Hogan and beg to join Immortal (is that still a thing?) while still remaining in Fourtune (is that still a thing?) He will go on to face Matt Morgan in a loser leaves TNA match and both Immortal and Fourtune will come to the ring to help him win. A brawl will erupt and during the chaos, he'll accidentally pin Anderson who was the previous #1 contender.

This will make him the new #1 contender and he'll face Joker Sting at the next ppv. During the fight, Joker Sting will remove a mask to reveal he is actually Crow Sting. Crow Sting will remove that mask and reveal that he is actually Rob Van Dam. RVD had taken out Crow Sting after his title match with Jeff Hardy and then stole his identity. That will catch AJ Styles off guard and RVD will pin him with a frog splash.

Then the next episode of Impact, they'll have a reverse battle royal for the title and Christopher Daniels will win out of nowhere.

Shit was easy.

You forgot the "______ On A Pole" match and the double-swerve "Dusty Finish," dude.

...some six year-old you are.

Predictability when it feels like the "right" thing to do is not bad, no. But when a 6 year old can call EXACTLY what's going to happen with the WWE Title because the same thing ALWAYS happens when Cena's in the picture, there's a problem.

I loved WWF in the early 90s, but I stopped watching it and didn't start again until the Attitude Era (and I payed far more attention to WCW than I did WWF) because it was too predictable. I was like, 9 years old. Yeah, I was into some of the main event-caliber stuff and I loved Bret, but most of the show was dull, established-star-vs-generic-jobber-who's-obviously-going-to-lose shit. Except for that time X-pac beat Razor. But that's one of the only times that they ever deviated from that formula.

The product is less predictable today, but not by much.

I think WWE would do well to give the undercard more attention. It seems like the main event is the only thing they really care about. The storyline going on now in the main event is great, but if they want to really get back old viewers and gain new ones, they're going to have to push hard to make people care about the whole show, and not just the final 20 minutes.

Yes. The midcard has no story what-so-ever. The main event is great right now, but things would be even greater with a good mid card feud to spice things up rather than give us a random Kofi vs. Dolph Ziggler match night in and night out.

"The 7/25 edition of Raw did 3.2 rating with 4,805,000 viewers. The show did hours of 3.01 and 3.4, which meant that there was a lot of growth from hour one to hour two. That is a good sign for the current direction of the company. "

Rey and Cena as champs = ratings

The only people I've ever seen wear wrestling merchandise in the last 10 years except at wrestling shows are little mexican kids wearing Rey Mysterio shirts

This one kid in high school would wear an Undertaker shirt with a black trench coat on.

Was his nickname The Deadman? Was his neighborhood Death Valley?
He hung out with Juggalos so I don't think I ever talked to him. If I'm not mistaken he had multiple wrestling shirts, but they were ones you'd get at like a flea markets.
