Early Smackdown spoiler, but something that irked me:

Smackdown opened with Smackdown GM Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero coming out on stage. Long said it's been a whirlwind couple of he weeks. Long then explained an eight-man Money in the Bank concept match for the next PPV. He said the winner can cash it in for a World Title match.

So... what's the fucking point of Swagger's win at WM?

Cottonwood sucks, by the way.

We knew about this already. The Money in the Bank concept is great for a one-time thing at Wrestlemania each year. But it's a horrible idea to make it its own PPV.

And Cottonwood is one creepy motherfucker.

Whats the point of any gimmick match that gives someone a title shot? Idiot

:lol

Yeah, these gimmick PPV's are outstanding.

Nice, Kaval pulls another green rookie to an entertaining match and he has to job again. Can't believe they're pulling another Danielson. Especially when it looks like they'll be giving Hennig a winning streak despite how green he managed to look in a tag-match with pros.

I wish I had Layla's bosom every time I failed in life though :(

Also it's complete and utter bullshit that they're taking up a quarter of the show with RAW recaps again.

But fans can't have it both ways, look how many people STILL complain about Punk being squashed by Taker, but by your logic it makes sense because really no way someone of Punk's size would last long against someone of Taker's size, but in that case it was wrong.

Punk is like 6'3". He could conceivably fight Taker and win a match. NO WAY could Rey fight Batista and win a match. It just couldn't happen if we were talking about some kind of real match.

People see it as Rey never losing, but the other end of the stick is it doesn't make sense for him to be jobbed out all the time. Beating on Rey, serves little purpose as a heel unless you literally beat on Rey like Batista did.

He is smaller than almost everyone on the roster so its not some test of power. In order for Rey to stay as an underdog he does have to win most of his matches as backwards as it may sound.

I get that, but I don't see why the WWE needs him in the main event picture. Like I said, Kane in that PPV would've been perfectly acceptable to all people watching, Rey could've taken his vacation, and they could've pushed younger guys. Now they are stuck with a quagmire at the top.

Also, the 619 isn't the worst finisher, Starship Pain is. But the 619 is probably second.

Not sure if this has been posted, but here's a great interview with Chris Jericho: http://www.fanhouse.com/2010/06/22/chris-jericho-moving-up-as-host-of-downfall/

Here's a bit about him elevating new stars:

And my style of wrestling is not going to be here forever. I mean, the guys that came in the way I did, the hybrid Japanese-Calgary-Mexican guys are pretty much gone. There's a few of us left but not many. I wish to God there would have been a guy like that to work with me in WCW. Someone who wanted to make some stars. I could lose 100 nights in a row, I could lose to you, and it wouldn't make a frickin' difference. I could win the world title the next night and everyone would buy into it because I'm at that level where I'm bulletproof. We have to take advantage of that and use it for the good of the company and the good of some of these guys that are coming up that I feel have some of that mojo that can really do something in the business.

You can tell he really means this based on his commentary during NXT a while ago -- he did an excellent job of selling everybody in the match. Way more so than the actual announcers, actually! Haha.

His thoughts on Daniel Bryan:

I think he got caught in a crossfire. I think he was the scapegoat for somebody getting angry at the choke thing. Obviously, that's been a hot button topic for years. I don't think he did it maliciously. I don't think Vince (McMahon) fired him maliciously. I think it was one of those things where hands were tied and somebody got angry from somewhere and they had to make a knee jerk decision to do that. I think it hurts the NXT group because it's great right now when you have seven animals ganging up on one guy. That's a great visual but when it comes down, at some point they're going to have to wrestle. At some point, somebody's going to have to wrestle. And Wade Barrett is good but Danielson was the gem and could go out there and have five star matches with anybody. And they don't have that right now. That's the one thing I think is a little bit of a weak link in the NXT chain is the fact that they don't have that. So losing Bryan is going to be, it's going to be a blow. Hopefully, they'll bring him back at some point because he's a great guy and a great talent. I worked with him for about six minutes on the first NXT but it was a great match and I would love to work with him more and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way,

So very true (of course).

@Chilly_McFreeze I have been contacted Teddy Long via email, and we have discussed the possibilities of a few trades. Stay tuned!
Guessing we'll see something soon. Hoping Edge or Jericho can be moved to Smackdown.

Oh, they are enjoying working this now:

WWE security have just notified me of a very interesting development regarding the identity of the driver of the limo last Monday night.
Although I cannot fully divulge the identity of the driver, I can confirm that he is not a member of the WWE roster.

This argument would be valid if they had Punk continually go over The Undertaker, but he really hasn't, and the only "win" Punk has had over 'Taker is by the silly screwjob they shamefully did away with story-wise.

Problem is how predictable it is. How can Rey be in feuds with these large guys and hardly lose? It's been that outcome for his recent feuds with these guys aside from a select match or two (from The Undertaker, of course).

:lol @ the limo driver stuff. WWE trying to get everybody thinking it's going to be Bryan. :(
