....Ummmm yeahhh, we're never gonna see feathers on any JP sequels, ever.
Uh-oh, Hollywood might latch onto this and start making reboots of popular movies.

Also, thanks again for free pizza!
I just have totally missed any hype or much marketing for this film. Barely anything on FB either about people seeing it.
I'm amazed it's done so well and passed me by.
.....So, does Terminator have a chance to do well too? Though obviously not as much as JW.
Imagine how big his next movie will be!!!Colin Trevorrow. Has there been a larger leap between projects? Safety not Guaranteed had a 4 million dollar domestic box office.. his next movie gets 400 million (and counting).

Guys, no way Star Wars does well enough now that is opening during the holidays. I mean, come on. When was the last movie to open in December that set box office records?
*heads to box office mojo*

Oh...
$32m OW last I checked.Isn't it tracking pretty bad (~$40m OW)?
What kind of story do they come up with for the sequel? Would hate to be that writer
Hehe, well sir...
I have nothing against this director but I'd rather this film bombs and they reboot the franchise with feathered dinosaurs.
Opening weekend is a guess at this point, but not for the lack of trying. Comparing opening weekends for a Summer and December release isn't that easy due to the different factors involved. I could easily see it breaking all December records and JW overall since I'm expecting it to have some good legs throughout the month and January/February.That is very impressive.
I wouldn't be surprised if Star Wars doesn't beat it. It might make more overall because it probably won't face stiff competition during its run, but I dunno about it coming out as fast.
I'll bet my hat that the third weekend record won't go down. For the record, I'm not against this movie in fact I was one of the few people saying it would do good.Biggest 3rd weekend ever is Avatar @ $68,000,000.
Unless I'm missing something.... doesn't look like anything significant will open this weekend? Hmm....

I remember that thread, oh how the tables have turned, lol.

Gaf is almost always wrong aboutmovieseverything.
Ah the inflation argument. Of course. Not surprising with inflation but well done on making money from garbage.
In some cruel twist of fate, it would have made much less.
how the fuck... it's not even that good.
We will not be denied.if they do ANYTHING with that whole "using dinosaurs in the military" I refuse to see the movie on principal unless it gets rave reviews. That whole aspect of the story was the worst part about the overall pretty dumb script.
And some were questioning whether it'd hit a billion.
Will Star Wars hit $1 billion?
