Nobody thinks this is going to bomb.Absolutely.
I don't think people should be able to get away with just being negative nancies all the time, and should be called out on their embarrassment.

I could certainly tell the difference between CG and animatronics. Now that I'm comparing this trailer versus JP1 I think the major difference is actually the lighting and environments. The lighting in most CG shots in films these days has a very surreal look. Most of the convincing CGI was actually real models/animatronics though. The actual CG shows it age pretty well.
The one trailer is obviously a rough cut/trailer CG, and I don't' think it will look quite as off with what, six-seven more months of post to go.
That's an apples to oranges comparison because CG was considered a cutting edge visual effect during the time T2 came out. Today, we're constantly inundated with CG where none would have existed two decades ago and many of us are understandably saddened to see the sequel to a film lauded for its' practical effects lean on so much CG.
If Harrison Ford played the President at 35 people would have laughed too.
While the execution of the film will be subject to harsh debate. I dont get the comments regarding the stupidity of the Plot.
So here's the thing
1. Jurassic Park was brought out whole by Ingem and they developed it into a successful commercial property, which ran supposedly without incident for 10 years.
2. However, like all things, interest wanes and park visitor numbers begin a sharp decline because Dinosaur's are "old news" (like old tech phones which are replaced now at a fast pace)
3. Execs, wanting to bring back the crowds need new attractions to make it worthwhile. What would excite the masses? New Dinosaurs of course! New Scary Dinosaurs!
4. Dr Wu, who is an advocate for more genetic tinkering in the books, helps create brand new Dinos.
5. Shit happens.
None of it seems farfetched and seems in line with what the books were trying to warn of (genetic tinkering without ethics or thinking "should we?")
I wasn't talking about that. Read back what I highlighted from that post.

Well I'm in
But plenty of people think it looks awful-and instead it looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to prove them wrong.
So people aren't allowed to have a different opinion than you? Wow. What you're doing is really pathetic. But plenty of people think it looks awful-and instead it looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to prove them wrong.
That was the point, it happens in real life and you can bet that poster isn't the only person that thinks like that.
But plenty of people think it looks awful-and instead it looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to prove them wrong.
I'm surprised at all of the negative reactions to the whole "hybrid" thing. We've known for months now that one of the themes of the movie is poor corporate decisions from fear of flagging profits, which both is interesting to me and also a fairly natural extension of the themes of the first film. The problem moves from "should we be cloning?" to "should we be commercializing it?"
Looks like that newest Indiana Jones shit pile.
You're gonna prove their opinions of a film's quality wrong
this is what you're planning to do in half a year's time
this is sad or anything

Not as far-fetched as people seem to think. That concept looks exactly like the description given by some scientists on how the Troodon would look like today. The first scripts from JP4 had them mixing raptor and human DNA, won't be surprised to this be a twist in JW.

The far fetched part is, and I quote:
THAT WALLS 40 FEET HIGH, YOU THINK SHE CLIMBED OUT?
(played over clear claw marks of it having climbed the fuck out)
If you are already presenting your "whoops, it got out somehow!" moment as ludicrously stupid after 10 years of "not fucking up", its not surprising people aren't buying it. Then cap it all off with Motorbike Raptor Force and people are passing out from the stupid.
Jurassic Park 3 set that sort of thing up.
Looks like that newest Indiana Jones shit pile.
Taking into account how unsafe the attractions we see in the trailer are I can believe these guys were dumb enough to make a super smart dino that climbed out of its too small holding area.
I mean the Croc Dino could literally get out of the water and eat the guests. That ball transport thing is just asking to get the guests inside killed.
Dude motorbikes with Raptors.
It's not surprising something finally goes wrong, what's surprising is that it took 10 years.
But plenty of people think it looks awful-and instead it looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to prove them wrong.

Why does the CGI look less convincing than the effects in Jurassic Park?
WHY
This is genuinely sad. And probably what a lack of friends looks like. But hey, whatever makes you happy.
Trailer still sucked.![]()
My exact thought..i will wait and see with this one. A blend of CGI and Animatronics was just awesome in Jurassic Park here is just to much CG.
You're doing the same thing just on the other side of the coin. And BTW, I'm excited for this movie. It looks like silly fun. I just don't agree with the public shaming of people for opinions on a film though. It's not right.C'mon dude. Aren't you tired of all the jaded hyperbole out there everytime anything is announced or shown for the first time?

Uh, huh. I guess all comedic actors should stay typecast and not attempt to branch out into other rolesChris Pratt already showing us he will never measure up to Harrison Ford
He's got Han Solo nailed for sure but lacks dat screen presence to pull off a more serious character, let alone dramatic roles in the future
I bet he's gonna be stuck with being the wisecrack guy in future films
It completely lost me when they started talking about making a hybrid. I mean, why?! There's no point to doing so other than saying you can and why would you make something incredibly deadly?
It's good your excited. But the fact is this trailer has disappointed a lot of people. You aren't going to prove that wrong. But plenty of people think it looks awful-and instead it looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to prove them wrong.
