So, with Avalanche really wanting to make a third game and Just Cause 2 being a commercial and critical succes, the question raises: what do we all wish for Just Cause 3?
I've been playing JC2 for 17 hours now and I'm loving it, but I can't stop to think: what the hell will they do with part 3? I am really interested in your wish lists as well.
More focused and involving story
Well, the story sucks, simple. The focus is not on story at all and that's very logical, but I think JC3 could be a better game with more story focus. This could be done with better voice acting, better cutscenes and more surprises in missions. Also, the game is way too cheesy and childlike at times. Making a game about regime chance offers so much different possibilities story-wise.
Having a real sense of civil war
Honestly, I think part 1 did this better than 2. I really want to have the feeling that I'm occupying the island bit by bit. Now you just go on a mission with 5 guys and suddenly 100 square kilometers is occupied... right. In the first Just Cause you really had to liberate every settlement together with the guerrilla troops, I think they should have done something like this as well.... really have the feeling of assaults on bases and villages on a bigger scale, so you have the feeling of being involved into a country-wide war. Also, you should start really small-scaled with occupying a few small villages and a small army post, and that build more and more momentum to start bigger assaults... approaching the capital bit by bit for the final fight. For this element counts as well: have a very good and believable build-up. I don't care about believable action at all, but I do like the sense of really taking over the country, what the Just Cause-franchise really is about.
Having even a better sense of truly being in a whole country
First of all: JC2 is by far the best game that gives you a feeling of really being into a whole country, it's incredible. But I think this could be done a bit better still. For example, the economy of Panau doesn't really make sense. All the roads are very good, every building in the capital is ultramodern and there are no slums at all. If these kinds of things get improved, that would be great.
What about your 2 cents?
