Just got a PS4! What exclusives have I been missing?

Had a PS4 since launch and so far Bloodborne is the only game to make me feel that it the PS4 was worth every penny 10/10 right there!

Bloodborne, Resogun and Stardust Ultra are all fantastic games. Last of Us Remastered is well worth a go if you've already played it on PS3, and downright essential if you haven't. I'd also strongly suggest Samurai Warriors 4, but seeing as it's a musou title there's a good chance you wouldn't give a shit ;)

The two Infamous games are pretty decent as well.

Basement Crawl

I'd consider Drive Club and Bloodborne the must-owns. Infamous games are good. Resogun and Killzone are worth playing.

Bloodborne
The Last of Us
Driveclub
Resogun

I liked The Order:1886 and its a great graphical showcase but it does have flaws which are very apparent. How much you can overlook the flaws will dictate whether you will like it or not.

Many people love Infamous:Second Son and its another game that is a great graphical showcase. I enjoyed it a fair bit but didn't find it quite as gripping as many others seem to.

Bloodborne, Journey (when it releases), Second Son and the Last of Us are the only ones worth playing on the PS4. Since you mentioned PC all the indie games can be played there.

Perhaps they're striclty not indie, but you can't play games like Resogun, Unfinished Swan and Hohokum on pc. Great games too.

Bloodborne is a masterpiece.

Bloodborne (obivously)
DriveClub
Infamous First Light (significantly better than Second Son)
Ass Creed Freedom Cry (this isn't exclusive in the traditional sense, it's standalone (only on PS4 so far as I know, so it's exclusive in that sense) and simply amazing)
Resogun
The Last of Us
Knack (some might say this terrible, don't listen to them, they are unable to appreciate good games. It's a damn fun experience, make sure you buy it.)

Bloodborne and TLOU speak for themselves.

Infamous: Second Son is also an incredible game with it's only major drawback (in my opinion at least) is forgettable side-missions. It has a great story, and great gameplay. Also the DLC (also available stand-alone) First Light is also very good.

Driveclub is the best racer I have ever played without a doubt. It's like an arcade racer except it has beautiful handling (not like NFS/Burnout), and you are constantly treated to a visual feast.

Killzone: Shadowfall is alright if you can pick it up cheap. The campaign is notably worse than the previous entries but there's a few stand out moments and if you're already invested in the KZ universe, you'll need to pick it up. Multiplayer isn't too bad either, though I'm not sure how populated that is now.

Resogun. Also kind of speaks for itself. The DLC + support for this game is nuts.

The Order 1886. It is short, I'll give you that. But everything that it does, it does well. I had an absolute blast with this game, and that was pre-photo mode (Which allows you to further tune experience). The story is interesting, the shooting is great, the characters are cool, and the music is awesome. It is cinematic, and it is different, but it is also good.

And Knack is fun too!

Resogun
Helldivers

I really need to give Infamous First Light a try. The series was easily one of my favorite last gen and I did not even make it half way though Second Son

Dont get bloodborne until you do some research on your own. I cant believe people would just blindly suggest that game. Its not for everyone.

I would say Infamous SS, TLOU are my fav on the system.

Second Son, First Light, Last of Us, The Order (rent this one), Bloodborne.

Indies I enjoyed a lot are Helldivers and Axiom Verge. Can't remember anything else I would recommend.

bump for importance.
Yeah OP, at least watch 1 or 2 beginner guides on YouTube and keep in mind that learning how to play BB properly can take up to 10 hours. In these 10 hours you will die alot and make 0 progress. Infamous and TLOU are safer bets.

Take your pick!

Bloodborne is one of the best games i have ever played. I literally cannot put it down, and i will be depressed when i get the platinum.

What other PS4 exclusives are known at this point? Ever since Bloodborne came around I've been looking for an excuse to buy one, but I can't think of any other game I would want to buy that I can't already play on my PS3 or PC.

You can look up for Released Games ^ (My Previous Post)

Or look down for Upcoming Games v

Thanks for the suggestions! I got the Last of Us bundled with the console so naturally I will start thier first. I beat Demon Souls and loved it. So I guess I may get that next. Also is the PS camera like kinect in terms of supporting voice commands? (Sue me I love me some voice control on the xbone!)

Also why troll me about PT!?! :( My console was supposed to arrive before they took the demo down but UPS sucks. If it is so good at the very least offer to shareplay with me so I can get a taste. :P

This is a good point actually. I love the Souls series, but, frankly, they will not resonate with the modern gamer.

Infamous: Second Son and First Light. Both should be cheap now and are crazy fun

And no - you don't need to have played any previous Infamous to enjoy them. They are almost entirely unrelated.

My PS4 arrived from an incredible deal I got from Dell. I am primarily a PC and Xbone gamer so I have missed out so far on this gens Playstation exclusives. What are the must haves that I missed?

What do you consider the must haves for the XB1? Knowing that would make it easier to make recommendations.

The Order is worth picking up for cheap (i.e. not $60). It's a fun ride that is unfortunately far too short. Easy platinum too.

DriveClub has been great since the online issues got fixed. Get it and consider getting the season pass, which has a ridiculous amount of content.

None, PS4 has no games

buy Bloodborne, and masterpiece Tearaway comes out this summer. Infamous is alright too, I hate it compared to 2, but some seem to like it so maybe give it a try. Also Last of Us of you haven't played ot beforr

i dont need to tell you about bloodborne.

you should buy the order 1886. i and (gametrailers :P) personally liked the game. is cheap anyway or u can buy used.

try OP.

edit: also dont forget helldivers its fucking good

Don't bother with the Order unless you rent it.

TLOU Remastered- unless you haven't played it, there's very little point playing it unless you are a superfan.

Infamous: SS is decent but only worth a rental imo. I platinum'd it in 2 days. No lie. ALso, it falls short of its predecessors.

Bloodborne and Resogun. My personal recommendations and I barely even played the Souls games (I only tried Dark Souls for about 10 minutes a couple of months back).

I think it really depends on whether you have a PS3 (or Vita), as most of the really good PS digital games are across all three PS platforms over the last two or three years.

If not, then be sure to check out:

Helldivers
Resogun
Flower
Journey (soon)
Axiom Verge
Titan Souls
Dead Nation
Don't Starve
Hotline Miami
Doki Doki Universe

And phhsical/full retail releases:

Driveclub
Bloodborne
The Last of Us Remastered

I guess that's it for essential physical releases. Maybe Killzone Shadow Fall at a stretch?

The Last of Us Remastered is amazing; just finished beating the main story yesterday and will be plowing through the Left Behind DLC today. I'd say it's the best story-driven AAA game I've ever played and the game looks gorgeous in 1080P. What impressed me the most were the little things: Joel's banter with Ellie progressively softening, journals of people who had passed on that made the world feel real, meticulously detailed environments, impressive scale, superb voice acting, realistic weight to the characters...the only flaws I could find were wonky combat and a few minor technical issues such as clipping and the occasional flat/muddy texture.

I own both Killzone and Bloodborne but have yet to play them. Whatever you do though, for the love of god stay away from The Order 1886. It's frickin' terrible unless you like 6 hour games full of QTEs, lengthy cinematics, pedestrian gunplay, idiotic A.I., and underwhelming boss fights. The graphics are incredible but just borrow/rent the game if you want to experience them; don't give your money to this product.
