Kamiya: Ask Nintendo for Bayonetta 2 on PS3. You should also ask for Zelda on PS3.

Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising, unlike Bayonetta, were done by Platinum themselves and turned out well. Bayonetta PS3 was done by someone else.

It was done by someone at SEGA, there was a story about how the contract said Bayonetta was ported by SEGA to save platinum money, and when it released they saw everything that was wrong with the port and they themselves had to go back and fix it, then they said every multiplat going forward would be built on PS3 and then ported to 360.

There's at least 4 or 5 million Wii Us sold worldwide right now.

Nintendo is a gamer's platform in the classic gaming sense. Also Bayo 2's launch and presence will be more visible due to a) the smaller Wii U library and b) Nintendo's broader promotional reach via Directs and so forth. In fact the IP already has a ton more exposure and prominence than it did in 2009.

And all this before factoring in Bayonetta fans who will be purchasing the console to play it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it sold more.

After all this shit those Nintendo fans better show up and buy this game.

What a middle finger to the whiners it would be if Bayonetta 2 outsells the original.

If Bayonetta barely sold as a multi-plat on 360/PS3, what makes Nintendo think it's going to sell for them? There's a reason why no other publishers wanted to do the game.

To diversify their game library for the Wii U. Nintendo themselves obviously don't make the kinds of games that Platinum does, so with getting Platinum to make W101 and Bayo2 for the Wii U, they're trying to attract the audience who loves action games like those to the Wii U Nintendo couldn't have by themselves. With that would hopefully bring other studios and developers to make games for this audience and more people will buy the Wii U and so on. Effectively trying to get more people to buy Wii U consoles and software. Of course, how successful this would actually be for them is up in the air.

Of course SEGA would fuck it up.

in before avatar quote.

Goddamn dude, everytime I read your post what the Wii U will look like 5 or 10 years down the road... FFS dude, don't let me down.

Don't forget Viewtiful Joe and Devil May Cry... nothing special at all!

Yeah he's just a chump who was strong armed into making Bayo 2 on the WiiU. If only he would've begged longer. Eventually someone would've allowed him to make Bayo 2 on real consoles.

It's beyond stupid at this point. Well at least we're over the racial insults... for now I guess.

Nintendo completely funded Bayonetta 2.
This game would not exist at all if Nintendo didn't hop in.

It would not exist now...

Maybe if Nintendo passed too, someone might have changed their minds and picked it up later on. Did they ever say they had to make it now or never?

Even if someone did, I feel that Nintendo is the perfect partner for them to make the perfect game. It's a win win situation.

Platinum is still independent and Sega still retains rights to the franchise. Nintendo is just the publisher. Not sure what else to say. I'd love for someone to prove me wrong by posting their contract.

So, Nintendo signed a contract with Sega that would allow a game they funded to appear on their competitor's platforms? You see, that's something you might do, but Nintendo isn't run by slack-jawed yokels.

a bit OT, but what is wonderful 101?

Like... is it a score based arcade style game that you can blast through in an hr? All the footage and demo makes it seem like a bitsize maybe downloadable game, but it clearly isn't.

Does it have a full 6-8 hr campaign like your typical platinum game?

Just putting this out there, I am a huge fan of Platinum Games, I literally own every single Platinum Games title, heck I own all of their Clover titles too, I go where they go, even if I didn't own a console their game was exclusive to I would buy it, the news on Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 made picking up a launch Wii U more justifiable to me, but I mean PG and Clover supported all these consoles exclusively, PS2 (Okami), GC (Viewtiful Joe), DS (Viewtiful Joe DS, Infinite Space), Wii (Madworld). Is it really that big of a surprise to see Bayonetta 2 exclusive to Wii U? Come the fuck on.

It is an embarrasment that this thread already has more views and comments than the ones about actual gaming impressions and videos of PG games, here is some fucking GIFs so you can at least pretent to care about what you are port begging:

Only relevant post in this thread. It´s a shame.

It seems to be an action game that's going to be about the same length as their other games, with a focus on replayability.

Not singling you out here, but I don't get why people say it seems like a small downloadable game. It just doesn't make sense.

Think Bayonetta action but with multiple heroes as a body.

It's a full game, it's essentially Pikmin with super heroes and powers, plus an action game with the art style of Viewtiful Joe... with the main hero who is clearly not based on Joe /sarcasm

It also uses a lot of the Wii U functions, just looks like silly over the top PG fun to me.

Nintendo funds this game, but Sega can also fund it on PS3. Nintendo doesn't own the IP.

Nintendo will own the Bayonetta 2-specific assets that they paid PG to create, ie everything in the game that wasn't in Bayo 1, most likely also including the title. If Sega want to release Bayonetta 2 on other formats, PG would essentially have to remake the game from the ground up. New enemies, new weapons, new locations, new everything. In other words, they're not porting it.

I wouldn't rule out Bayonetta 3 on PS4/XBone though, unless Nintendo wants more and gets there first.

FFS Ninty, Ask Capcom for PowerStone 3.

Do it.

Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.

Do it!

I haven't seen the agreement, but most likely Nintendo has locked up the code as their property. PG would have to build a new game for Sega.

I guess it's because it's all cartoony? People don't look at bayonetta or some other realistic game and assume the level in front of their eyes is the only one that exists.

Call me crazy, but i see zelda in ps4 or 5. in ten years nintendo is off of console market. They will be handheld only. More like a tablet gaming company.

I'm glad Nintendo was kind enough to bring this game back to life. A game I want to play exists because Nintendo decided to step in. How thoughtful of them.
