V-Skill: Quick Step

Ken runs towards the opponent, closing the distance in an instant. Ken can also choose to step kick or input another attack closer to the end of his run!

V-Trigger: Heat Rush

Ken channels flames through his entire body for a short period of time, which powers up his special attacks by increasing their number of hits and improving their trajectory, allowing him to perform even more damaging combos.

To be fair, the first trailer was shot on a potato so it could have been with how lousy the quality was. Now that the official one is out, it's really clear that it isn't.

Some pretty cool potential for Rugby-style moves and looks here.

Obvious ones being rugby tackle leap, scrum charge, and not just arm/shoulder moves as Rugby players use kicks too obviously.

New character even has a V shaped tattoo on his face. I love the way they are refreshing already established characters. Makes me look forward to every character reveal even more since it seems they'll play very differently from previous iterations.

I guess this means that, as Mermandala said, it's a Maori fighter. Thank god it wasn't a rugby helmet, I was concerned that they were gonna go hardcore with the New Zealand stereotypes.

That dude could be Maori but the paint/tattoos on his face are definitely not in any kind of Maori style. Those tend to curve and go with the natural flow of the face.
