Personally, I don't want more of the same from an artist anymore. I used to be upset that Jay and Kanye switched their style up but now, it's all good to me. I love the direction TPAB and untitled went. Let's do something different next time though, K. Dot.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about Kendrick Lamar is how much he's evolved in 5 years and is still constantly changing it up. Very few rappers have done that. Don't get me wrong, I adore and revere cats like Raekwon but he's not that much different from '93 (and that's not even a criticism, not everyone has to change it up).

I'm sorry to dissapoint you but this jazz bullshit is what he wanted to do with gkmc as well. The only reason he didn't do it then was because it was his debut LP and he was advised to make it more mainstream. The sound that inspires him revolves around jazz. The most we might get is something similar to section 80 but I highly doubt there will be a gkmc2.

Plus why do you want him to limit his creative process by fixating on a certain sound? Let him experiment and grow. His creative juices are not going to last forever. Might as well take some risks now and make amazing records.
